Chapter 1- The kidnapping
The three young detectives-John Carter, Jake Williams, Robert Frost were famous for solving tough cases in their hometown Brookhaven. One evening Emma Brown, a seven-year- old girl, goes missing while playing in a park. Her parents were frantic, and police searched the whole area but were clueless. The three John, Jake and Robert planned to jump in and help.
They decided to go to the park where the child was kidnapped. They go to the park cleaner and ask "did you see someone who looked suspicious during the kidnapping. The worker said, "I saw two men wearing a black hoodie" The three detectives said thank you and while they were going home, they stumbled upon a candy wrapper which was not in this area.
The candy wrapper was from an unfamiliar store. On googling they found out that the store named sweet delight was twenty kilometers away from Brookhaven. The three detectives planned to go to the shop to find out the facts. On reaching the shop the owner told that yesterday a man with a black hoodie entered the shop with a girl to buy chocolates. They checked the camera of the shop, and it was Emma. They couldn't see the man but from the outside camera they saw the number plate of the kidnapper's car. They tracked down the license plate and got the address of the kidnapper. They called the police and secretly followed the address.
On reaching the location they found a small house in the woods. The children peeped in the window and saw Emma, they tried to climb in the house through the window but then the man enters. They quickly hide behind the cupboard; the man looks around and sees no one so he left. The three detectives went to untie Emma but then the man suddenly enters, the man screams and captured all the children. The children said "we are all going to die" just then the police arrive the police thank you to the children and took the kidnapper to prison.
Chapter 2- The Antique Shop Heist
The children were celebrating their victory and suddenly there was a news flash that the antique shop on 3rd Boulevard Street was robbed. The thief broke in without setting any alarms and the most valuable item, a diamond which belonged to the 18th century princess of England, was missing. When the 3 detectives saw the news, they were already excited to solve the mystery.
The brainy one, Robert Frost, noticed that the lock was not broken or unlocked. "Someone already knew what they were doing." John Carter, the observer one noticed footprints from the back door. "These don't match Mr. Parkers shoes'' he said pointing at the manager's shoes. Jack, the gadget expert, quickly went to check the security camera footage. Someone entered from the back door and cut the power.
After collecting all the evidence, they thought that the cleaner was the thief. So, they interviewed him and asked where he was last night. The cleaner said "he was cleaning the shop till 8:00 and went home after that. The detectives didn't believe him and hooked him up to a lie detector test, they found out that the cleaner was telling the truth, so they let him go.
The detective's john, Robert and Jake went to the managers house and asked his parents that did he go somewhere last night. His family said, "he was with us but after some time he said he was feeling sick and wanted to go to the hospital." They said thank you and left the house. They started asking everybody and later found out that there was a beggar that was living beside the shop. They asked the beggar if he saw some one entering the shop the beggar said "I did see someone going into the shop and come out with a nice shiny diamond. He wore a suit, and it was written manager, after getting all the information they said thank you and took the manager for a lie detector test. They asked the manager did you steal the diamond and the manager said no. The lie detector showed red meaning his answer was a lie. When the manager said yes, he stole the diamond. It showed green, so they called the police, and the police arrested the manager for stealing the diamond.
Chapter 3- The haunted villa
Everybody in the town whispered about black wood villas. It was a rumor that it was haunted. People experienced SLAMMED DOORS AT NIGHT! Strange shadows of weird creatures were seen, and some people were said to have disappeared after spending the night in the villa. No one dared to step inside the villa.
"Last night I couldn't sleep after reading a book about a haunted villa!" said Robert." Yeah man haunted villas freak me out", said Jake. "Then you should not go to Black Wood Villas it is the creepiest villa in town.'' John replied. "Hey, I think we should go to the villa and see if there is any truth about these ghosts" suggested Robert. "Let's go tonight and check it out," said John. Jake did not seem very excited to go but agreed to go because he didn't want to be seen as a coward. It all started on a Saturday evening just as the school holidays began
So, armed with flashlights, cellphones and even snacks if they get hungry. The detectives set off for the creepiest mission yet. As they entered the air suddenly cooled down, webs on the roof and an owl hooting from a distance as they were climbing up the stairs, they got goose bumps all over their body.
Suddenly the door of a room opened, and a loud bang occurred from the room. "What was that?" Robert said, "let's go and check it out." John said, "I really don't think it is a good idea to go there." Jake said. We cannot go back now we have already come this far. They followed the sound and saw a painting and behind the painting was a secret door. They went inside and saw some gadgets. On the chair they saw a black coat and under the coat there was a speaker which was making all the creepy sounds. The name of the person was Mohammed Hamdan. His number was in his business card; they tracked the number and found out where he lived. They planned to visit him and booked there fight tickets because he was in Portugal. So, after their flight landed, they took a cab and went to his house. He was a businessman and when they reached the house, they knocked on the door, but his kids opened the door. So, the detectives politely asked, "is your dad home?" they said yes that their father was sitting on the couch.
The kids called their father and when the father came, they asked to the father "Why were you making all the creepy sounds in Blackwood Villa with a speaker." He said that him and his family were once living in the villa but then I got fired from my job.so then I lived here, and my family lived in India so now that I have become a businessman I was hoping to reunite with my family in that villa. So, until that time I put a speaker there so that nobody would buy that house. John was recording what Hamdan was saying and called the police secretly and sent the evidence. The police came and said thank you and rewarded them with a medal because of their bravery and the man was fined 30,000$ because he tried to keep the place for himself.
Chapter 4- The Midnight Murder
Saturday evening had been full of fun because 3,000$ were awarded for their bravery and their parents had given them 500$ to spent in the supermarket on whatever they wanted, they bought ice cream ,pizza ,burger, French fries and cola .but as they were exiting the super market there was a message on the class group that there was a murder in Charley's house. "Hey, did you read that, there has been a murder in Charley's house!" John said.
"Oh my god lets go their quick." Jake said.
Johnson 'street had a deadly silence when they entered their white Toyota Corolla. It was past sunset, and they saw police cars standing outside a peach color house and guessed it must be Charley's house. "Let's wait outside" Jake said. "Are you crazy we come so far to find out the truth." Robert said. When they entered the house, they saw Charley murdered so they asked the police what had happened. The police said "Charley was murdered with a knife, so the team of police took it to the lab to test for fingerprints. They asked the police who they were suspecting, and the police said they were suspecting the maid because the maid was the only one awake when everyone was sleeping.
They went back to their meeting place and discussed who could be the murderer. Just then they got a call from the lab that they found the fingerprints and now was going to test the maid 's fingerprints to see that if she was the killer. After running some prints, they found she was not the killer. After they found out that the maid was not the killer, they did some more investigation and then tested the fingerprints of the neighbors. Then again after running some more prints they found out that neighbor's dad was the killer. So, then they took him to jail and later was sentenced to death by the electric chair.
Chapter 5-Truth or dare
The sun was shining brightly as the three detectives decided to go cycling to Cranberry castle. "Let's go to the castle at 3pm tomorrow." Robert said. "Yes, I will bring binoculars, water and sandwiches." John said. "I will bring haunted story books of the castle." Jake said.
The next day on the journey they met their first obstacle. The first obstacle was the road was full of rocks, but that obstacle was easy because they just picked their cycle up and crossed the road. The journey had a nice breeze and the view was amazing. Then finally they reached the castle. They put their cycles on the ground and started reading the books that Jake bought. The book was about the history of the castle. Chapter 1 said that one day the queen and king were killed by their butler by feeding them poisonous food. Ever since then people have believed that the soul of the king and the queen haunted the castle.
Jake started shivering and said, "let's go back, this sounds dangerous." Said Jake. "Let's play truth or dare." Said Robert. They sat in a circle on the front porch and then started the game. "Do you choose truth or dare?" Said Jake. "I choose Dare." Said Robert. "I dare you to go inside the main door, go to the backyard take a round and come back." Said Jake. Robert was hesitant to walk on the pitch dark, but he somehow gathered courage and accepted the dare. He reluctantly got up from his place and started walking through the main door. It was hard to find the latch in the dark, he kept looking for it and finally found it. As the door creaked open a bunch of bats flew above his head. Robert yelled "Jesus!" But he continued to walk ahead. The dim moonlight was shining through the window and Robert finally got to the back yard. He walked a full circle and then came back.
"Do you choose Truth or dare" Robert said. John said "dare." now it was 9:00 pm in their watch. "Hey, I have a surprise in my bag, and I think it is the right time to use it, a Ouija board." The dare was John had to ask creepy questions, and the Ouija board will select the answer yes or no. The first question John asked was, "what is your name?" The Ouija board automatically moved to d e v i and l which spelled devil. The second question john asked is "Will you haunt us forever?" The Ouija board said "No". He felt a sigh of relief and then asked will you "kill one of us?" The Ouija board came to the middle of the board which means maybe. They all got frightened and then they noticed that Jake had gone missing.
Both started looking for Jake and after looking for twenty-seven minutes John realized that now even Robert had gone missing. John was so scared but then both jump scared him from behind, it turns out that they were playing a prank and the Ouija board was remote control. John realized there was no spirt and it was all a prank by Robert and Jake. Now John asked "truth or dare? Jake didn't want to look like a coward, so he also chose dare.
"Hey, the Ouija board is moving, and I am not using the remote control. Everybody got scared. The Ouija board went to some letters and the message said "Jake must find the treasure in the backyard in 30 minutes and put it next to the Ouija board, or he will get killed.
Jake got frightened and quickly ran inside the castle, first he started walking into rooms, but all the rooms were just with beds, skeletons and tiny bones which freaked out Jake. In one room he saw a flowerpot which had dead plants and then next to it was a spade. He took the spade and ran to the backyard because he only had 10 minutes left. He dug the backyard with all his might but could not find the treasure. He laid down in the backyard waiting for death but then he saw something shining due to the reflection of the moonlight. When he looked at it, it was the treasure. He picked it up but as soon as he picked it
Up a countdown began ten seconds. He ran through the hallway and when he reached outside, he only had 2 seconds left so he threw the treasure box and surprisingly it landed near the Ouija board. He was shocked after the dare was done, they all went near the Ouija board, and it said that the butler stole this treasure to use it later but then the butler died so it remained there, and the Ouija board was happy that they didn't steal the treasure then the Ouija board said goodbye. The children were so happy, they took their stuff and went home with their bicycles.
