The Orphan Who Soared is an inspiring tale of resilience, kindness, and the extraordinary power of love. Set in the vibrant city of Lumina, the story follows Elena, a young orphan who discovers incredible powers-telekinesis, flight, and visions of the future-after stumbling upon a mysterious glowing crystal in the woods. Despite the cruelty she endures, particularly from her classmate Clara, Elena chooses to rise above hatred and use her newfound abilities for good. Her defining moment comes during a fierce storm when she saves Clara from a collapsing bridge, demonstrating the power of forgiveness and compassion. This heroic act transforms their relationship, turning Clara into a close friend and ally in making the city a better place. As Elena grows, she not only protects Lumina from escalating threats, including a formidable enemy known as the Wraith but also creates a family of her own at the orphanage she once called home. Through her acts of courage and her unwavering belief in kindness, Elena inspires those around her to embrace hope, love, and their own unique strengths. This heartwarming story evolves from a tale of overcoming adversity into a legacy of love and connection. Elena's journey proves that even the loneliest beginnings can lead to extraordinary endings, and that true heroism lies not just in strength, but in the ability to bring light to the darkest corners of the world.

Chris Ejiogu Whitney is a young storyteller who began writing at 13. She created The Orphan Who Soared, about an orphan, Elena, who overcomes bullying and uses her superpowers for good. Inspired by her own experiences with bullying, including being mocked by classmates and having her shoe thrown out a window by two twins, Chris turned her struggles into stories of resilience and hope. Supported by Joshua Ahamba JC and Prince Ugochukwu, she inspires others to rise above challenges.
