Ibe is a generous, feared warrior and wealthy farmer of two wives and thirteen children of who five among are male and eight female children who works hard for all he owns. Born in a village where there has been war for ages. The war seems to have no resolution, upon all the numerous efforts made by two clans to bring peace, all to no avail. Thousands of lives have been lost on the war, just for vast a piece of land that all will be buried on. The war is between two clan of Umuokpe and Zuga, Umuokpe clan, of of which is made up of ten related communities, Amaeze, Owa-aku, Umuireku, Ogbarafuu, Umunzu, Okpachara, Omeaku, Umu-udo, Amaeke, Uzochirii, Amaosimiri, under which each community has community has at least eleven villages, Owa-aku, Umu-udo, and highest fifteen villages, Uzochirii. Though it's refered to Umuokpe-Zuga War, only three from the ten communities of Umuokpe are share border with Zuga people so they are the ones into the war. Zuga people of two districts, with seventy-four supportive villages. "When you are a devoted African child, you will be thinking of how to solve the challenges facing your community unlike Western kid, that will after the pride of his or her people" Ibe thought after hearing the development on the Western warfare.

The three communities, Umunzu, Ibe's, Amaeze, and Uzochirii are doing the fight with Zuga people who are so united. Umunzu has twelve villages. Ibe was born in Ezeala, the safest, first and the farthest village of Umunzu from the disputing land. Inspite this, Ibe is so worried about the lives of his people, so he made the hardest decision to join the war.
