Luna was an astronaut, but human space exploration became so mainstream in the future that being an astronaut was just one thing - complying with the orders of lunatic rulers and serving the pride of nations at war with others. Luna floating in space was just one of those missions. While alone inside a small "tin can," she talks with a AI computer that recordes her voice memos about the past and her feelings, even if she might now be a lost cause.
