Raj, a humble farmer, used to work hard in his fields every day in a small village between green hills. His life was simple, filled with early mornings and long hours under the sun, but he found peace in the routine.

Raj heard a rustling sound one afternoon as he was gathering crops near a rocky area. Turning around, he spotted a snake, coiled and ready to strike. Raj, on the other hand, did not panic. He spoke softly to the snake instead, "Please, let me pass." I won't harm you. The snake broke free of its coils and slithered off into the bushes, surprising him. The farmer watched, thankful, and continued his work. However, as he made his way back to his house later that evening, he discovered the same injured snake on the side of the road, clearly hit by a passing cart. Raj felt pity for the creature. Without hesitation, he carefully picked it up and took it back to his hut. He treated its wound with herbs and gave it water, nursing it back to health.

The snake came back to Raj's fields a few days later. Raj felt a sudden sharp pain as he worked; he had been bitten by a poisonous snake that was about to attack him. But just before the venom could take its full effect, the snake he had once saved appeared, striking the attacker and saving Raj's life.

With gratitude in his heart, the farmer looked at the snake. He said, "You have saved me, just as I have saved you," knowing that kindness frequently comes back around. And from that day, Raj and the snake shared an unspoken bond, one of trust, respect, and gratitude.
