Tayo, a 24-year-old boat mechanic in Lagos, has spent years wondering what happened to his father, who vanished at sea. When a mysterious old man gives him a map leading to an island that does not appear on modern charts, Tayo discovers that the map is dated the exact day his father disappeared. His search takes him across violent seas, into the path of dangerous pirates, and finally to an island filled with gold, secrets, and supernatural forces. But on the Island of Danger, treasure is never free. Tayo must choose between unimaginable wealth and something far more valuable.
