CHAPTER 1
ERICA LOST HER PARENTS
The way to success many times is full of problems and trials.
There are mountains to climb. There are valleys to walk. There are seas to swim. There are forest to walk through.
Endurance means power to withstand hardship.
Once upon a time, there was a girl called Erica. She lived at Toronto. Her parents died when she was three years old in an
epidemic. Since then, she had been living with his father's sister called Florence. The husband of Florence was Bruce. Both of them
had two children; Margaret and Beatrice. Bruce liked to finance the education of Erica by sending her to school but Florence did not
want because she thought that Erica might be greater than her children in the future.
Whenever Bruce raised the issue of sending Erica to school to study like their children, Florence always discouraged him. Bruce said to his wife, "Someone you help today in time of trouble may be your helper tomorrow". Florence did not listening to her husband's
advice. Florence was using Erica as a slave.
Many house works her children were supposed to do, she gave them to Erica. She made life difficult for Erica while her children were enjoying.

CHAPTER 2
THE SUFFERING OF ERICA
There was a time when the sum of eighty thousand dollars the money of business of Florence was stolen by one of the
friends of Margaret when they came to their house to play. They suspected Erica saying, she was the person who stole the money
without concrete evidence. For two days, Florence did not give Erica food. What an inhumane wickedness to an innocent child!!!
When the suffering was unbearable for Erica, she decided to run away but another thought came to her mind that running
away to where?
After the incident, one day; Florence sent Erica to buy soup ingredients from Benzon Store Supermarket; there, she saw a
woman calling her name, Erica! Erica!! Erica could not recognize the woman vividly but the human introduced herself to her,
telling her that she was the bossom friend of her mother before she died. Her name was Julianah Dickson, the mother of Hellen.
The mother of Hellen was very happy to see Erica. Julianah asked Erica that where was she living? Erica answered her that she was living with her father's sister.
She narrated how the sister of her father was maltreating her. How she did not send her to school and the way she was using her as a slave. Erica started weeping. She said "If my parents are alive, I would have not been facing this kind of problem in life."
Julianah spoke the words of comfort to her and encourage her to endure. Erica replied, "For how long will I endure, the suffering is too much to bear. On that day, Julianah gave Erica ten dollars. She also gave her
phone numbers to her.

CHAPTER 3
BRUCE AND FLORENCE BUSINESS COLLAPSE
When Erica got home she could not enter the house compound. She discovered that the gates of the house has been padlocked with the seal of a bank. Bruce, Florence and their two children had parked their loads and travelled to Chicago to begin a
new life living Erica alone.
Erica was not aware that Florence and Brucehad used their house building as collateral security when they wanted to borrow loans of twenty five millions of dollar from the Cliff Bank to start abusiness. Their life boat capsized when their business collapse due to economy recession.
They where not financially strong to repay the loan to the bank within the limited time the bank gave them.The bank took the possession of their house building.
Erica called Julianah on her hand-set telling her that she did not see Florence, Bruce and their children at home. The gate to the
entrance of the whole house had been locked and sealed by the bank.
Julianah told Erica to come to her house. Julianah and her husband, Mr Holt Kelvin welcomed Erica with joy, promising her to
seek job for her. After a month, Julianah and her husband found a poultry farm attendant for Erica. She did not work there for a
long period of time because the poultry owner overloaded her with works and did not pay her salary regularly.

THE FRUIT OF ENDURANCE
After two years of working in poultry farm the husband of Julianah helped Erica to find another job in one of the gas companies in Toronto. Erica was employed as a clerk. She was not a greedy person, she saved her salary every month because she had a strong determination for her education.
After three years of working in a gas company, she resigned to study Ophthalmology in the University of Toronto with the financial support of Julianah and Holt, she completed her
education and she is now working in the best Hospital in Toronto as a medical doctor in the department of Ophthalmology.
After two years of working, she got married to a medical doctor whose name is Dr Jackson Collins in the Department of Gynaecology in the same hospital.
They are blessed with two children, Alice and Williams. Any problem you are facing in life, don't lose hope because NO ENDURANCE NO SUCCESS.
