After reaching home, he was in constant thought about the story and the book. His mind also revolved around Charu's talk, who said the place was haunted. He called up Charu and asked her to come to his flat as he had something important to discuss. She came, and he narrated all that had happened over the last two nights and showed her the wounds on his body related to the story. She immediately, with concern, asked him to leave the library, but he had a growing curiosity regarding the stories.
Samrat told Charu that it felt like he had some connection with the book and it was trying to convey something to him. All of a sudden, he claimed that the book wanted him to showcase the real truth about the story which he read. Charu halted him by saying that he shouldn't act like a lunatic; it was just the library which contained negativity, and the book and stories were just made up in his mind and were nothing real. Samrat furiously shouted at her, saying she didn't believe him and all the scars on his body meant something. He declared he would go to Kanpur on Saturday to investigate Riya's story. Upon hearing this, Charu left the flat.
In the evening, Samrat started packing his bag to leave for Kanpur. He called Charu and told her he was leaving for Kanpur in the morning and asked if she would like to join him. She angrily denied, and Samrat apologized for his behavior and told her that he would certainly share some findings with her. Charu wished him luck.
