Chapter Two: The Reunion
Years passed. The rain still fell, but this time over another city, on a silent autumn evening. Armin walked through the crowded streets, his face carrying the traces of time and silence. The love in his heart had never died, but like a deep wound, it had hidden itself beneath the layers of his soul.
He never thought he would see Sara again. Until that moment…
In the window of a small café, behind the misted glass, a familiar face appeared. A girl with the same red scarf. For a moment, Armin's heart stopped beating. It was as if time had rewound.
With trembling steps, he walked inside. The bell above the door rang, and Sara turned toward him. Their eyes met.
Her eyes were the same - full of secrets, full of sorrow. Yet something had changed between them: years of distance, years of longing.
Sara gave a faint smile.
- "Armin…!"
For a moment, Armin couldn't speak. He just stood there, staring at her, like a man who had found what he had lost all his life. Then, softly, he whispered:
- "I never thought I'd see you again."
Sara lowered her gaze, wrapping her hands tightly around her cup of coffee.
- "Neither did I. But… maybe fate isn't done with us yet."
A heavy silence settled between them. Only the sound of rain danced against the windows.
Armin placed his hand on the table, close to hers.
- "Years have gone by, but I could never forget you."
Sara's eyes trembled. A tear slipped down.
- "I lived with your memory every single day. But the world pulled me somewhere else…"
Armin leaned closer, his voice breaking:
- "Sara… tell me there's still a chance. Even if everything has changed."
Sara hesitated, as if a silent war raged between her heart and her reason. She finally met his gaze.
- "Sometimes the past shapes us… but can we truly begin again?"
The rain grew heavier. The café windows fogged up completely. And there they were, after all those years, standing once more at the edge of love and reality.
