One evening, as the stars were waking up and the Moon was stretching into the sky, Luma noticed something unusual. A big, fluffy cloud was drifting slowly all alone.
The cloud looked sad. He wasn't smiling or floating cheerfully like the others.
"Hello there!" Luma called gently. "Why do you look so down?"
The cloud sighed. "I'm lonely. All the other clouds are playing together, but I drifted too far away. Now I have no one to talk to."
Luma thought for a moment. She couldn't leave her place in the sky, but maybe she could still help.
"You don't have to be lonely," she said kindly. "I can be your friend! I'll twinkle while you float, and you can tell me your stories as you travel."
The cloud's eyes brightened. "Really? You'd be my friend?"
"Of course," Luma giggled. "Even if I'm small, I can shine for you."
And so, the lonely cloud began to float happily again, drifting across the sky while talking with Luma. He told her about the mountains he passed, the rivers he saw, and even the children who pointed up at him, guessing his shape.
Sometimes he looked like a dragon, sometimes a rabbit, and once, he even looked like a giant cupcake! Luma laughed and sparkled, enjoying every story.
The Moon, watching nearby, smiled at them both. "See, little star? You don't just shine - you make the world a brighter place with your kindness."
Luma twinkled proudly. She had made a new friend, and the lonely cloud wasn't lonely anymore.
From then on, whenever a cloud drifted too far, Luma was always there, ready to shine and keep it company.
