Far away in the wide, endless sky, there lived a tiny star named Luma. She was small and shy, always twinkling quietly in the corner of the night. Around her, the bigger stars sparkled like diamonds, and sometimes they seemed to laugh and dance together.
"I'm too little," Luma whispered one night. "No one will ever notice me. Maybe I'm not important at all."
Just then, the Moon, round and gentle, floated closer. "Why do you look so sad, little one?" the Moon asked kindly.
"I can't shine as bright as the others," Luma sighed. "I think I don't matter."
The Moon smiled, glowing softly. "Oh, but you do matter. Every light in the sky has a purpose. Even the tiniest star can guide someone through the darkest night."
Luma listened but still wasn't sure. Could such a small star really help anyone?
That same night, far below on Earth, a sailor was lost at sea. Clouds covered most of the sky, hiding the big, bright stars. But just then, through a small gap in the clouds, Luma's gentle twinkle appeared.
The sailor saw her faint sparkle. "A star!" he cried with hope. He followed her light, and little by little, it guided him safely back to shore.
When Luma realized what she had done, her heart filled with joy. She shone brighter than she ever had before.
From that night on, Luma never doubted herself again. She learned a beautiful secret: no matter how small you are, you can still make a big difference.
And so, Luma twinkled happily, ready for many more adventures in the great night sky.
