"Thanks Grandma!" Susie replied happily as she walked back to her room and shut the door. "Jesus Christ...what was that voice coming from and who was it?" she asked herself as she hugged her teddy bear to calm her nerves.
Susie slides down her slide from her room to the main kitchen and lands on a mat.
"Hmm that voice said it was my father, but my mother knows that my dad has been dead for almost 56 years..." Susie thinks aloud to herself again not knowing her grandma was right there watching her.
"What did you say about your father, sweetie?" Grandma asked curiously, settling herself down on a nearby chair facing Susie.
"Uh I thought I heard his voice upstairs in the hallway when I was getting ready to come down and heard this Raspy Voice calling out to me saying Susie, it is me."
Susie looked at her grandma wondering what she would say next.
Her grandmother asked with a look of horror on her face. "Susie which room was it coming from when you heard it.?"
Susie replied. "I don't know which room it was coming from grandma. It just came out nowhere like a ghost or something like that."
her grandmother replied again. "Susie go get the bible and some holy water from the kitchen cabinets and the cross, some holy water as well." Susie responded with a confused look on her face. "Why do we need all of these things for, Grandma?" she gets up from the mat standing up, getting ready to the supplies needed.
Grandma responded with annoyance in her tone "Just get the dang stuff and hurry up!"
Susie looked flabbergasted when her grandma said that, but she just went to get whatever Grandma needed for what was about to happen.
Susie went into the kitchen searching for the bible, Holy water, and the cross. Awhile she was searching for the items she came across an old photo resembling her dad in his Late-Thirties. She touched the photo, and it felt old and wet among her fingertips. The picture had markings on it and looked like it was blood among the face in the photo smeared like ketchup all over except for an address on the left-bottom corner. It said 4598 Ave Mayweed Dead Street. Susie thinks to herself. "Whose blood is this and why is in on this photo?" She inspects the photo some more, forgetting the task at hand.
"Is this my father's blood?" she said to herself her eyes were glossy with unkept tears of Sorrow.
"Susie! what are you doing in the Kitchen?" her grandma called out to her.
No respond from Susie came.
"Susie Raania Leslie! Get out the Kitchen this instant!" Grandma hollered out.
No respond from Susie again. Susie had frozen in the kitchen just staring out to space.
