The trio lay tangled in blankets on Donny's rooftop. The summer breeze curled around them. Benjamin traced shapes on Donny's back. Christopher lay beside them, thoughtful.
Then - too sudden - Christopher asked, "Is this a thing? Are we... together?"
The question cracked the air, but didn't shatter it.
Donny lifted his head. "Do we need to name it?"
Benjamin smiled. "I like the not-knowing. It makes everything feel like permission."
Christopher sighed. "I just want to know if I'm allowed to love you both. Not halfway. Really love."
Donny reached for Christopher's hand.
Benjamin pulled Donny closer.
All three boys lay in quiet motion - breath syncing, fingers curling around wrists and ribs and possibility.
Then Donny kissed Christopher's palm. Just once.
And Benjamin kissed Donny's neck, softly, lingering.
Christopher closed his eyes. "Okay. I think I get it now."
They didn't need rules. Just the rhythm of daring and devotion, held gently in laughter and breath.
And somewhere beneath that rooftop sky, the world spun just a little differently. Quieter. Brighter. Made for them.
