Chapter 13 - Dear Charles and Dear William - letters unsent
I was about to commence the next chapter, but apparently there are more letters to write and record - but this time I don't have to send them (not yet anyway).
"My Darling Charles, so much water under the bridge, so much change. I want you to know that I loved you with all my heart - and always will love you. Not for one minute do I regret our marriage - we produced 2 wonderful human beings - and that was all we were meant to do as a couple. In that regard our union was a success!
I often visit the garden and remember fond times. Thank you for being you - such a wonderful and thoughtful person. I had an unrealistic and overly optimistic view of marriage and relationships in general, but I can say now with pride - thank you so much for the time we had.
I'm very well balanced and content, in this form, from here. As most people know, I wasn't a perfect human - nobody is perfect - but it was all meant to be that way though - I was meant to be that way. Even broken humans are there for a reason - especially the broken humans, may I say.
As royals, we are meant to set an example - such a huge and heavy job. You and Camilla have been doing a sterling job as a couple - and as King and Queen - I am so proud of you both - and I apologise to Camilla for my very human behaviour, my jealously, confusion, frustration and pain.
It's jolly easy to move on and forgive when you see the big picture - a luxury we all have on this side - but not on earth, so again, Camilla, please accept my apology and thank you for loving Charles and supporting him, not just through the recent cancer journey, but the whole journey.
I will move on to William's letter now. I am grateful for the chance to connect with you and want you to know how much I care for your happiness.
In peace and love, D."

"William, hello my Darling, it's Mummy. What an amazing man you've grown to be - you were always an amazing man - my amazing little man - and now look at you!
I am so unbelievably proud of you and the whole family - withstanding so much change in the world, still standing strong, still moving forward.
Thanks so much for carrying on with Centrepoint - it was always a huge undertaking, a huge task - like the mines were - yet somehow, just you being involved is all the world needs to see to make a difference. By you setting an example, you entice others to pick up the cause, as you are far too busy to be directly hands-on and involve yourself on a regular basis - so the people will do that for you. Even though it seems like there is no end in sight, you will still forge ahead, you will still try - and that's what it's all about - the trying, not the outcome - sometimes there is no outcome and that's ok, some things are meant to be a work in progress.
I have been around you often over the many years since I left - with the exception of taking some growing and healing time over here for myself - for the most part I have been around. Where do I start - how about your wedding - you knew I wouldn't miss that!
Speaking of which - Hello Dear Catherine, you knew I was with you when you were getting ready. Such an exciting time wasn't it - thanks for remembering me and noting my absence and including me on your special day. I am so proud of you and William, and so sorry I couldn't be there. All for a reason though, everything has worked out exactly as it was meant to, and I am so proud to call you my daughter-in-law.
I love spending time with you and the family William, the kids are fantastic humans just like their parents - give them a hug from me. How I wish I could still be there to join in properly.
Well Darling William, there you are and here I am, please know that I'm never far away and I hear you when you speak to me.
With all my love, Mummy xxxx"
These unsent letters - from Diana to Charles and William - are unlike the others. They were never meant to be posted. And yet… who's to say they won't be seen someday? In this strange and sacred dance with Spirit, I've come to realise that sometimes the messages we never send are the ones that echo the loudest. Perhaps these words will find their way to their intended hearts through some other route. Through intuition. Through dreams. Through a shared moment of reflection when the soul hears what the ears never did. And just as curiously - maybe the letters I did send were never opened at all. There's something quite humbling about that. Something that feels true to life. We write. We reach. We speak what must be spoken. But we don't control where the echoes land or how they land.
What Diana gave me to share wasn't just sentiment - it was structure for healing. The kind of healing that doesn't demand accountability before it offers understanding. The kind that accepts that we rarely get the whole story in this life - and sometimes we must forgive even when we don't. She joked in her letter to Charles: "It's jolly easy to move on and forgive when you see the big picture - a luxury we all have on this side." It's funny. It's wise. And it's unsettlingly true.
On this side - the earth side - we don't get the full picture. We get fragments. We get memories filtered through pain. We get headlines and hearsay. But Spirit gets the panoramic view. What Diana offers to William here is not just maternal love. It's a glimpse of that wider picture. It's reassurance that even if you don't see the meaning now, meaning still exists. And even if things haven't been perfect, you've done enough. These letters - sent or unsent - are offerings. And in the grand story we're all part of, maybe that's all we're ever meant to give.
