Chapter 9: The First Caller

That night, while chatting with Daya, he shared all the problems he was facing with the show, but Daya consoled him, saying that God would help. When Saturday came around again, Kishan still couldn't figure out how to make the show engaging. In the middle of the night, he got ready to go to work, but he had no idea how to tackle the task. In the office gallery, he waited for the show's start time, still without a solution, but he began to think: how good it would be if he had someone to call and share his problems with, but no one was awake at this hour.

Meanwhile, an idea struck him. He turned on the station with a cheerful song and injected energy into the show with the greeting, "Good Morning everyone, I am your host, inviting you to The Dawn Show. I know at this point in time, no one is listening to me, but someone must be, so just dial the number and share your problems, feelings, and questions with me. I will try my best to solve it". With this, he played another song, hoping for a miracle. The song was about to finish, but no call appeared on the screen. He was just praying to God. The song ended, and astonishingly, a call came in.

--The First Call--

"Hello, my name is Sandy. I will not reveal my real name. I hope no one is listening because I have to share my personal problem." Kishan replied, "Go on." Sandy explained that a few months ago, he had somehow gained membership to a very elite club. The people there were supremely rich and high-class, and to maintain that status and attend parties, he had taken out a huge loan. Now the problem was that he is a middle-class boy and couldn't repay the loan. Furthermore, creditors and their thugs were after him, and they could harm him if he didn't pay.

After listening to this, Kishan didn't have an immediate answer. He asked Sandy if his parents knew about this. Sandy replied that if he told them, they would be distressed. Kishan was clueless, but he couldn't let the show's momentum drop. So, he tried to end the conversation by concluding that Sandy had done wrong, but his family members are the only ones who could help him in this tough situation, so he had to talk to them. After giving his suggestion, he thanked Sandy for calling and instantly played a song.
