Chapter 12: Loose Ends

Kishan explained the final steps Sandy had to take. Since the cheque would take three days to clear, Sandy had to meet the girl once more during that time. After withdrawing all the cash, Kishan instructed Sandy to close his bank account and remove all his information from the city. He then had to repay his creditors, destroy his SIM card and mobile phone, and leave the city, never to visit again.

Following Kishan's instructions, Sandy did everything. On his last day before leaving, he met with Kishan and gave him one lakh rupees as thanks for helping him get out of the situation. Kishan couldn't believe the amount of money he now had. He was struck by the thought of how he was just a few months ago and where he stood now. Kishan somehow controlled his emotions and instantly transferred thirty thousand rupees to his father's account. He then made a call, but there was no response.

He rushed to Daya and took him to the nearest mall, where they bought new clothes and other items. That night, they partied and drank liquor. During their enjoyment, Kishan's phone rang with a message. It was from his father, who had returned the money and advised him not to contact the family. He became very sad after that. He called his mother's phone, and she received it. Both of them started crying, and his mother asked him about his life, but before Kishan could say anything, his father hung up the phone from the other side. Kishan started sobbing, but Daya comforted him, saying not to worry and that time would heal everything.
