Kishan had once been a very bright student throughout his school and college years. However, in recent times, he had been unable to find success, which left him feeling depressed and alone. His parents, who were once very fond of him, now constantly criticized him for his life choices. Under continuous pressure from his father, Kishan had been studying for government exams for three years but had failed to crack any of them. He was deeply disturbed by his life situation, and his friends from the locality had also moved out of town for employment.

One day, his father yelled at him severely because of a poor exam result. This made Kishan angry, and he told his father that he wanted to go to Delhi to find a job. His father refused, as they had always dreamed of him getting a government job.
