After parking the car, Swapanil realizes that he hasn't spoken to Meera since scolding her earlier. Feeling guilty, he suggests, "Let's go inside and see who's marrying whom?"
Meera nods and starts walking ahead. However, her foot gets caught in her saree, and she stumbles. Before she can fall, Swapanil grabs her waist and pulls her towards him. In that brief moment, Meera finds herself in his arms. They stand there for a while, looking at each other. Some elderly guests at the wedding notice them and mutter, "Today's youth have no shame." Swapanil quickly steps back, releasing Meera.
"I apologize; I was just trying to prevent you from falling," he says.
"You don't need to apologize. I understand," Meera replies and continues walking.
Seeing her struggle with walking in the saree, Swapanil steps forward and holds her hand. "I'll escort you to the hall. If you walk like this, you'll reach the hall by tomorrow morning."
Upon reaching the hall, Swapanil looks around. "Where are your friends?"
Meera calls Ajay to ask for his location. When Ajay sees them holding hands at the entrance, he's taken aback. Meera introduces Swapanil to all her friends, including Arti, Ajay's fiancée. Arti, a composed woman, notices Ajay's displeasure and pulls Meera aside. "Why did you bring him to the wedding?"
"I didn't bring him; he came on his own. It's his relative's wedding," Meera responds.
They walk away, and as they approach the stage, they are shocked to see Swapanil standing with the groom's family. He calls the man "uncle." Despite being 35, his charming smile and dimpled face make him attractive to many women. Meera, who was just close to him moments ago, finds herself lost in thoughts as she watches him.
Ajay, noticing Meera's gaze, becomes angry. "Don't look at him. He's still the same rude person who used to trouble you. Just because he brought you here doesn't mean he's a good man."
Ignoring Ajay's words, Aarti pulled Mira aside and asked, "I've been noticing you since you arrived. You've been unusually quiet. Is something bothering you?"
Mira pondered for a moment and then replied, "Do I look more beautiful when I'm silent?"
Aarti smiled and asked, "Who told you that?"
Mira subtly pointed towards the stage with her eyes. Aarti understood immediately. "Yes, you do look beautiful, but why do you want to look so beautiful? Why are you letting his words affect you so much?"
Mira smiled and responded, "I'm the one who's upset, and you're finding it amusing." She then turned her attention back to enjoying herself with her friends.
As the wedding was about to conclude, Mira received a message from Swapnil: "Come to the hall gate, now."
When Mira arrived, she found Swapnil standing with a girl. "Mira, come here. Meet Seema. Her father is an industrialist in Mumbai just like yours. Seema, this is Mira, the one I just told you about," Swapnil introduced them with a smile.
Seema walked away angrily. Mira asked, "Why was she looking at me so angrily?"
"She'll look at you that way when you appear as the girlfriend of her would be fiancé," Swapnil replied.
"Wait, what do you mean? Was she your fiancée?" Mira asked in shock. "If she was, don't you think you should go after her and clear up the misunderstanding?"
"She was never my fiancée. She was just a relationship my uncle forced upon me. I gave you a lift in my car, you owe me one thing. Now that you've helped me, our matter is settled," Swapnil said, leaving Mira stunned as he walked away.
After meeting her friends and descending from the stage, Mira was approached by Swapnil. "Did you eat?" he asked.
Mira shook her head. "Just because I said you look better when you're silent doesn't mean you have to stay silent all the time," he added.
"Who stays silent because of you? Don't say anything," Mira retorted.
"Now that your voice is back, why don't we go out to eat?" Swapnil suggested.
"Why do you suddenly wanted to go out with me for dinner?" Mira was puzzled.
"To celebrate my broken engagement, I'm taking you out to eat. If you don't mind. After that, I'll drop you at home. Tonight, I feel like I'm your driver," Swapnil explained.
"Alright. I'll inform my friends and be back soon," Mira said, heading off to tell Ajay that she was just stepping out and would be home shortly. Ajay insisted on dropping her home, but Aarti handled the situation, and Mira left with Swapnil.
Swapnil's uncle got wind of his conversation with Seema and called someone to inform them about Swapnil's marriage being in jeopardy.
As they exited the lift, Mira's heels broke, and she twisted her ankle. Before she could feel more pain, Swapnil swiftly lifted her in his arms.
"What are you doing?" Mira asked.
"I've never seen someone as careless as you. If you can't walk in a sari, why wear one? And if you can't walk in high heels, why wear do you wear them?" Swapnil remarked.
"Why does it bother you whether I wear a sari or not? And I can walk in heels; it's just that whenever you're around, something happens. I think you're the jinx," Mira replied.
Swapnil tried to put her down but then lifted her again. "Ah..." Mira tightened her grip. "What are you doing? Lift me properly," she ordered.
"I am the jinx, aren't I? Something always happens when I'm with you," Swapnil said, hiding his smile.
As they reached the parking area, a woman in her early thirties crossed their path, glaring at Mira. Swapnil didn't acknowledge her and continued walking.
"Was she your old girlfriend?" Mira asked.
"Why does it matter to you?" Swapnil replied, not feeling the need to explain.
"She must have been an old girlfriend. She looked angrier than your would-be bride today. I wonder how many hearts you've broken?" Mira said, not realizing the depth of her words. But seeing Swapnil's expression, she understood there was more to the story than it seemed.
Swapnil paused for a moment, then looked back at Mira, who was watching him intently. Her concern seemed to touch him.
"I've broken many hearts. And if you say one more word, I might not break your heart, but I can break your bones," Swapnil said, pretending to trip Mira again.
They both laughed and continued walking, but Swapnil's actions hadn't gone unnoticed by his uncle. He made another call, "Are you sure he doesn't like anyone?"
