KANE'S POINT OF VIEW:
I Barely closed my eyes after what had happened between my parents, mom is pregnant yet it was like she was defending her life of which they did break the fight after my mom was brutally bruised.
In the morning,
''hello son, how is training going?'' I mentally scoffed so now he asks,
''good.'' I said as I stood up from my mat, the sooner I get out of here the better,
''I am going for a hunt; you need to join me soon.'' He said, as he walked out, I could not help but to roll my eyes, thankfully he did not see me.
''oh!!! I almost forgot, take care of your mama will you!'' he shouted.
When I looked across, my mom was sound asleep, my father did a number on her but she laid there like there was nothing wrong, no moans of pain too. I needed answers and tonight I will probe them out from my mom, when the father is not there,
I need to tell me Patina, I am sure she can give me a friendly advice even though her solutions cannot only be odd but you could swear she is mad too.
Just as I came out from the shelter, I guy in his twenties stood there, with paints that are white and black across his face.
It is a familiar face but I never thought he could step to my compound.
''hello,'' he said.
''hello'' I said dryly.
''I am Armani, from the water training level 2, I am looking for a girl that is a captain for the girls training and who packs the weaponry as well.'' He asked,
''oh, you mean Rebecca,'' I asked.
He shrugged his shoulders,
''right, you do not know her for the fact that you said 'a girl'; alright let me direct you, you not far from her shelter, if I may ask what you want with her,'' I asked as I walked to the road and we stood there.
''what are you to her? Boyfriend?'' he asked but it sounded like a mockery, does he think she cannot be my girl, just because his well build, with a soldier stance and of course taller too does not mean I do not have a chance with her,
''soon she will be,'' I tested the waters,
He hummed, then nodded his head.
''right show me her home than,'' he said. Of which I was surprised that he did not become a smart mouth about my last comment after he asked in mockery, so I let it slide,
After directing him.''thanks man.'' Those were his last words before he sprinted to the direction. I made a mental note to myself to watch out of this guy, he cannot have her yet.
I left my mother asleep and walked to the queen's shelter alone, the sun was hot as usual, of which once in a while I think the burning rain can occur, I wonder where the elders are with fixing this.
PATINA'S POINT OF VIEW:
''today is the last day, you better tell me or I will hold you responsible for what happened,'' my mother said. She was preparing for a hunt. I scoffed. Which halted her steps from leaving her shelter.
''tonight, when I go to the meeting with elders, you coming with me you rascal.'' She said as she walked away,
After few minutes I stood up in an aim to prepare for the training until Kane showed up in my shelter.
''stranger is in the house,'' I joked.
''not funny, we need to talk and I am hungry,'' he replied.
Did he found about what I will be doing to his crush, because I do not want him to find out,
''before you tell me, why you still in level one?'' I asked, folding my hands across my chest.
He sighed.
'' I am coming okey,'' he answered in exasperation,
''you being selfish you know that right?'' I asked.
''no, I am not, Rebecca is almost done,'' he said.
I could believe him honestly, it boiled my insides,
''you unbelievable, that was not the plan Kane it was never,'' I said, my hands waving in the air.
''just give her a chance Pat, she is not a bad person,'' he said. That is where I lost it.
I punched him unexpectedly, he held his mouth and he cursed,
Then he winced.
''after all the promises we made for each other, but you want me to beg you, after a long friendship and moments and you want to throw them all away, just for a girl who bullied me, your friend? You must be sick in the head. Well, I am glad you made your choice because I am also tired of waiting for you to decide, but now I can see you made your choice and this friendship is over.'' I declared.
''what?!'' he exclaimed.
''I never took you for someone insecure and jealous.'' He continued while he bites his scarred lips.
'' I am not but she is someone I will never like and while you with her you cannot be my friend. So, leave and never come here unless you here for the queen.'' I suggested.
His shoulders sagged in disappointment and he walked out without saying a word. That Rebecca the bully will pay for making me loose Kane I swear. I let the tears cascade my cheeks as I went to bath at the river running east.
Tonight she will know not to mess with the princess.
