The next day I was surprised to see my mom still in the compound rather than hunting,
I yawned and stretched as I crawl out of our bone shelter,
''morning mother,'' I said as I sit next to her.
''morning,'' she said as if her mind is in a mile away,
Then we sat there in silence.
''you lied,'' she said after so much silence that I doubted that we would even talk.
Of which what she said shocked me, but I knew what she was referring to, I am her daughter of course she knows me better.
''I have no idea what you talking about,'' I try to master the courage of lying.
''you better cut that bull with me and tell me before I give you a hiding of your life if that's what it takes to get the truth out of you, you think this is a joke? this is not about you Patina,'' my mother scolded but likely when I looked around there was no one.
I breathed out in relief,
''mama, why you always mistake my intentions for the worst?'' I said the first thing that comes into my mind, I mean I have noticed that I am never the apple of the eye to her and I am getting sick of it. How can I side with a person who cannot side with me too? How unfair is that though? But today I just wanted to know the truth, I doubt I will be going to training, I am fed up with a lot of things of which is a result of what is going on in our village it is a lot to handle honestly.
''you do not get to question my parenting young lady,'' she spoke firmly and with a warning tone.
I wish I could shut up but sometimes I just cannot help it.
''than how I'm I going to communicate with you, other kids can communicate with their parents, all you ever do is push me to the training, flog me and just throw harsh words on me. Mama I am not your village I am your offspring that you burned her father without saying goodbye. Where is love in that mother?'' I spoke up, I felt emotional, I hated the feeling of crying so I stood up.''well, big girl if you ever decide to tell me what is going soon or the truth you better do before it is too late.'' She said and she also stood and she left the compound.
I couldn't help but to scream with frustration and anger pooling inside of me, did she even hear one thing I said? do I fucking matter? Why can I not get through my own blood?
I did not even rinse myself in the river that runs east, all I could think about now, was a training, just when I had decided not to go but honestly, I needed to blow off some steam there is nowhere better than in training, with all the adrenaline and anger, I was able to push through, pass the trees and ignore the sun and heat of which is an after effect.

''you late, '' Armani appeared out of nowhere just when I had arrived at the training grounds, I halted as I tried to calm my pulsating heart,

''well, we need to train now,'' he said and I nodded of which he was now training me. I was getting used to this and I am scared that I will be getting used to it and pass eventually and Kane will still be smitten and being slowed down by that bullying bitch.

Training was done for the day.
I was tired no lie.
''you think?'' I asked, trying not to look so happy about it, I man I am sure they are way better,
''yeah, I think you are right about to be us.'' He gave me his feedback. But when is my own mother giving me a feed back?
''hey why with the long face?'' he asked once he looked the cabinet wooden shelter.
I cannot believe I could not mask this but I could mask the rest.
''it Is nothing, I am just thinking about someone who bullied me,'' I said as we walk slowly, ignoring the fine sand under our feet, the breeze is always on it's best I never get enough, it reminded me of a water fall that I could go to...at the moment the incident seems like it happened yesterday.
He haled and he gawked at me of which I wanted to slap him for that,
''the princess was disrespected and you did not do anything.'' He seemed surprised and his tone suggested him being judgmental.
I nodded my head, trying to act unfazed about how he reacted about it.
''my princess, you not suppose to let that happen?'' he spoke up as we're about to approach the forest now.
''what should I do then?'' I shrugged as I asked.
''what does my princess want to do?'' he asked. I did not miss the smirk of mischievousness.
''won't we get into trouble?'' I asked as I was putting more thought into it.
''you the chosen one, nothing is wrong, but reminding her place is a good idea I believe, '' he suggested.
I think Armani is way better than Kane.
I shrugged my shoulders as I come to conclusion.
''fine, tonight, by the water fall, ask Kane son of Azur, to tell you about the girl responsible of the squad and packing things after, then after that bring her by the water fall.'' I commanded.
''but that is the forbidden area,'' Armani said.
''I know,'' I said than I walked away. Finally, I get to have a bit of fun. That dog will now pay and as for Kane he needs to be reminded his job.
