PATINA'S POINT OF VIEW:
It was my first time being around the queen, back than I believe that my mom was just a standby while my father was a dictator. Now she was calling shots, unfortunately by the looks of the elders on every decision she took, it was clear as day light that she did not give two shits about it.
Few faces of the elders we recognisable,
''princess, tell us what you know about the rain that had occurred.'' One of the elders asked, of which caught me off guard. I tried to recall all the things I saw and also making a mental note not to mention my suicidal actions.
When my mom looked at me, she was starring at me in inquisitively, right, I forgot, I never told anyone how it started.
So, I cleared my throat and I began:
''well, I have no idea, but right by the water fall, in fact before the water fall, the sky had turned red or orange like, with thunder and rain that fell to burn the water and everything in contact with. I myself is a victim of it. The surprising part, is that it stopped immediately when I have entered the shelter of my queen.''
They all had been listening but once I was done, they were still looking at me as if I had more to tell but I have none.
''other then the information that you have given us my princess, is there something else that you have witnessed that is out of the ordinary with you or around the environment?'' Elder Zuk asked.
Well, I forgot to mention that elder Zuk has two sons that I do not care about their name. They well built, dark in complexion and they are twins, that is hard to know who is who. Knowing his name means that he has a significant role he plays in this village that hardly goes unnoticed.
His role could be anything, in fact all the elders are versatile in any task given, what determines that the elder is an asset in the circle and for the village? Easy, their warriors and offspring. Surprisingly elder Zuk not only does he have well formed twins that are ready to take matters of the village in their hands, his warriors are also well trained but too bad they not for this generations, his against that too.In simple words, Elder Zuk is more competitive than anyone and hates being defied and does not rest till he finds a flaw for everything, so the rumours say about his ambitions but what I know is true, is about his wife being killed by him, no one knows the story except for the circle and the whole village had been shocked that he did not face any punishment for such act.
Okey, finally to top it up, the cousin of the late king of Erix, who is next in throne if however, I die or fail I believe. It worries me sick his face alone is screaming berserk and barbaric but he's still family. Mama is doing a good job there I can tell, so I do not think he will soon overthrow her, as for me if Zuk is still alive than I will be facing tribulations of all time.
Anyway, with those questions asked, one thing was Vox, but he told me to keep my mouth shut. This Is not about me, it's about the people and the village of which is the only home we have, if I do not tell I will regret it but if I follow his command of not saying anything than what if this costs the people? Arghhh!!
I am too young to be weighing options, whatever I do it is for the good anyway. I cleared my throat:
''actually, there is,'' I said than I paused.
''go on?'' Zuk seems to be doing more talking than anyone.
''his name is-----"
''stop.'' The whisper came again.
I jotted in shock feeling my insides lurch.
I looked around.
''we do not have the whole day, princess,'' Zuk spoke impatiently.
I opened my mouth in an attempt to say his name but he invaded my mind and he was not around when I was looking around and it frustrated me.
''ah, does the fact that an owl no longer make sounds than usual, crickets also don't sing at night and that makes the nights even more eerily scary. So does that count?'' I asked. Instead, they groaned.
So, if the elders groan due to being annoyed by my answer how is the queen taking my answer? But once again, the stoic and comprehendible facial was hard to read. Honestly the meeting dragged as I also became weary and tired, I really needed my slumber it is no joke.
KANE'S POINT OF VIEW:
I was deep asleep when I was abruptly woken up by the loud thud on the ground, when I woke up instantly thinking of the greatest danger, instead I found my mom on the floor groaning and moaning in pain, as blood dripped out of her mouth, coating her white teeth as well.I was about to attempting to aid,
''leave her!!'' roared my father, who I have witnessed him bloody as well.
''papa? Mama?'' I asked, my voice seemingly on edge to breakdown.
This was against the rules of the village if one of them has done something wrong they had to report it instead of doing what they were doing. Fighting each other was a violation. Apparently since they're both bruised than they both get to be punished.
My mom stood up, then she spit blood split out of her mouth that she wiped it with the back of her palm, while she tries to find balance. ''dad, stop hurting each other mama is pregnant.'' I yelled afraid we will lose the unknown and unborn baby. ''stay out of this Kane,'' my father yelled before throwing under punch at my mother, as I sobbed while I watch them hurting each other. If I tell I lose both but if I do not, I doubt in next days they will be at it and fighting of which is my first time seeing all this, so, what went South? Can I fix it?
