I open my eyes as I sit up right, taking in sight of my surrounding with my head throbbing and my ears practically begging for release from the constant siren like ringing. I stand up in utter shock as I try to determine weather I'm dreaming or not, im standing before the most breath taking scenery ever, an iridescent trail of water flowing down mountains of an extremely light shade of brown, the red colored sky filled with heavy clouds that look like are ready to burst any second. My mouth practically falls open as I catch sight of the platform I'm standing on, the most softest and yellowest thing id ever witnessed, everything looked ethereal, celestial, illusory. something that didn't belong in this world.
Everything just looked so enchanting that I truly couldn't bring myself to look away. Reality dawned on me when I saw a group of somewhat terrifying looking people advancing towards me. they didn't look human either. but they looked truly mesmerizing some with their luminous silver hair and gleaming red eyes others with their captivating pure black pupils and their dazzling golden hair. Their skin so delicate and pale. That was when it finally clicked, I was the outsider here. And I needed to run. I bolted, feet pounding against the soft ground, bouncing in rhythm with my running, sending my feet strangling in the air every few seconds. Then, impact. Hands seized me, brutal and unrelenting, arms wrenched behind my back in a grip that felt carved from steel. My face slammed into the yellow dust, the world tilting sideways as silence swallowed my scream. I was brought to stand up on my feet, I haven't the faintest idea about where I was or who these people were or.....What they were going to do with me. An outsider. There were about a group of five of them gathered around me one of which was holding my hands in a bruising grip behind my back. Up close they looked even more majestic then before. Two of them had the silver hair and the fiery red eyes, it was haunting to soo much so as meet their gaze for a split second, the other two had the golden hair one of which was a girl I would suppose hair reaching her thighs, her black eyes captivating yet melancholic, same as the boy standing next to her, they all looked soo lethal, as if one word from my mouth and I'm dead.
"who are you and where am I?" I finally said after battling for an hour with myself, nevertheless I was met with silence as my words hung in the air. I moved vigorously to free myself from his grip, but the harder I struggled, the steadier his hold became - like resistance only rooted him deeper. He pushed me forward making tumble upon my own steps as he motioned for me to walk, I refused to do so and was met with more force as he brutally twisted my arm, pain struck me like a truck. "Okay, ok stop! I'll walk!"
He placed my arms back in their original position, behind my back as I began to walk
I was following the girl ahead of me.
Soon enough we were walking on a firm and steady platform, I had no clue about what it was made with, but it looked beautiful with multiple illustrations spread across it in various colors glowing every few seconds. The further the we went, the more I saw of them, each one looking more different than the other.
At the heart of it all rose the citadel: a structure so surreal it defied earthly logic. Vines of iridescent silver and flame-orange curled around its spires, blooming with flowers that shimmered in impossible shades - violet threaded with gold, teal kissed by crimson. Glowing orbs hovered lazily in the air, orbiting the towers like sentient moons.
The roof, if it could be called that, appeared to be spun from liquid glass - reflecting not the sky, but memories, dreams, and fragments of forgotten time. The walls were forged from a material no language could name: translucent yet solid, humming with energy, as if the castle itself had been grown rather than built.
It was a place untouched by decay, where time folded in on itself and beauty refused to be ordinary.
Yet there was something about this place that made my skin crawl.
We came to a stop once again in a room, one which looked like was made for the royals, I stood before a sight of was of pure horror, paintings of humans, dead, suffering or dying humans covered in blood hung on every wall like trophies. A girl sat slumped at the base of the throne, blood crusted along her skin, bruises blooming like ink beneath torn fabric. Heavy chains coiled around her neck, anchoring her to the cold stone like a forgotten offering. Her eyes - half-lidded, hollow - never rose. Above her loomed the monster, not just in form but in presence. It didn't speak. It didn't need to. Its silence was a crown, and she was its proof of power.
I was thrown on to my knees before him. His back was turned towards me, as he took the chin of the petrified girl in his hand and laughed, a laugh that sent a shiver down my spine.
The guy that held me hostage finally let go of my arms. "My lord, she is here as ordered". The man said, kneeling before the monster.
upon hearing that the monster turned towards me, examining me like I was a piece of art - Or his dinner. God he looked infernal with his red skin radiating heat like that was its only purpose, his pure white demonic eyes barring into mine to rip my soul from my body. He was wearing a crown, one made with bones.
Every instinct screamed at me to run - to get up, to flee, to vanish before I became the next girl shackled in chains. My mind chanted it like a prayer, like a curse: run. run. run. But my body betrayed me. I froze. Silence swallowed me whole as goosebumps crawled across my skin. My lips quivered, as my throat tightened into a fragile knot. I could do nothing but sit there - waiting, breaking, breathing fear.
