"Now what do we have here". He said, in a low but darkly immersive voice, as he advanced towards me with ruthless heavy steps. His large build hoovered over me, as his foreboding eyes prowled over me, as if I were a prey.
I wanted to say something, anything just to shift his menacing gaze. Regardless the words died the moment I opened my mouth. "Got something to say sweetheart?". He said kneeling down to my level, staring into my eyes, "There's no need to". He finished as my head throbbed and my eyes closed shut without my consent. I could hear his voice inside my head. Inside my goddamn head. He was inside my head!. "Now you poor thing you must be wondering what will become of you, don't worry sweetheart you wont end up like lily there, I have something better planned for you".
How is this possible, can he read my thoughts? who the hell is he?. I took that he was refering the girl chained to as lily.
My thoughts died as my eyes flushed open. He was no longer in my head. I thought, oh how very wrong I was.
"what an intellectual being you are". His voice rang in my head once again.
"Who the hell are you and where am I". I finally said my voice coming out weaker than id wanted it to be. "Speak to the lord with respect, Hunaam". The girl with golden hair said with fury. Hunaam? what could that possibly mean I thought to myself. I didnt get the answer to my question, instead the guy that was previously holding me hostage, Held my arms in an undefying grip once again hoisting me up to my feet. He led me out of that horrible room and into a place that seemed like a never ending hallway, making a way for the darkness, which echoed like a scream I didn't hear.
I needed to get out of here, I just couldn't place my hand on how. "Just let me go?" I said to the man in hopes that he would take pity on me. "Please". I hated how my voice sounded so pathetic. All I received in return was an all too knowing smirk from the man, like he was enjoying this. Despite my never ending struggle for freedom from his grip, he practically dragged me into the darkness, there were a few lit candles that emitted radiant purple and yellow colored flames, at the very end were stairs, the kind which looked like would lead to hell. The stairs were lit by the very same candles. My mind was only occupied with one thing and that was with how to escape. The stairs paved the way for a seeming dungeon the walls covered in blood along with another black substance. This place was even poorly lit with just one of the candle placed in one of the corners, one. I could barely see anything, but I heard it all - every breath, every groan, every desperate plea. It made my skin crawl at it's finest and my heart pound at it's hardest. He pushed me into a cage, a cage. There were tons of other cages in this dungeon, cages, I thought I couldn't bring myself to wrap my head around all of this. This is madness. He didn't even bother locking the door behind me and left. Just like that. I squinted my eyes to try and make sense of my surroundings, being stuck on the verge of bursting. When all of a sudden I hear a muffled voice. I couldn't quiet make out what the voice said, but I heard it again. "H...H... help". There were other in this room with me, possibly human. I reached for the dark looming shadow wrapped around the bars of the cage I was in, and my hand went through it, straight through it. This is it, my chance to get out. I thought as I looked for the stairs, feeling everything around me. I froze in my tracks as a voice spoke, firm and daunting; "you're one of them". "What" I replied almost instantly as my mothers words came rushing back to me. "you're one of the Oblivions". I took the candle placed in the corner , and pointed it towards the voice, I could almost see the face now. "The oblivions?" I asked as the realization of what he was saying dawned upon me. "Yes, the one that brought you here, they call themselves the oblivions, They're not human, they call us hunaam as they think of us as we do of insects , their hearts are filled with rage for us". He spoke as his ocean blue eyes glistened in the darkness behind the dark bars. "What is this place, how long have you been here for and more importantly what makes you think I'm one of them?" I said a bit louder than id anticipated to.
"You can go through the lacanta, humans can't do that without burning themselves to death".
"Lacanta?" I replied, confused as I started to wonder if this man had lost his mind.
"The dark shadow looming around the cages. they call it the lacanta". I was truly at a loss for words for this man.
"I..I have to go". I finally managed after staring at him for forever.
"Don't make the mistake of believing that you can get out of here. You can't. No one can nor has. You'll be back here".
He shouted before me, as I ran for the stairs.
I shouldn't have left him like that but I had no other choice, at least that's what I told myself.
I reached the damn dark hallway, with the same purple candles. Except this time I followed the light.
As I finally reached the path that led to the door, I saw a pair of purple eyes right ahead of me, the face going by in a blur. My body froze in a state of panic. as I scanned the place looking for a hidding spot. I hid behind the pillar blooming with the seeming flowers and an unknown shimmer.
I put my hands around my mouth to stop myself from making any sudden sound, I couldn't stop shaking profusely as I wondered if it had seen me or not.
Instantaneously the pair of purple eyes appeared ahead of me, Inches away from me.
My body froze, my heart stopped as dread wrapped itself around me.
My throat began to close, I gasped to get air into my lungs but it led to no use. " Is that your genius plan - vanish and hope we forget?". He began as I Clawed at his face ever so hard, desperate for air. He was squeezing my throat without so much so as touching me. My eyes widened as tears gathered in them, the eyes I thought. I teared my eyes away from his, A gush of air rushed back into my lungs, clawing through my throat as I grabbed my neck, coughing with relief. In that moment - half-choked, half-awake - I caught a glimpse of his face.
And the look on his face was like he'd seen a ghost crawl out of my skin, he froze as he looked at a ghost crawling out of my skin.
