Another day, another….I'm too tired. This biology class is really starting to get to me. I've been listening to the professor going on and on….something about stem cells? I don't know. I'm totally zoned out.
As I doodle on a piece of paper,my eye catches Natalie making signals on the other side of the classroom. I don't understand sign language, and surprisingly enough, she knows this. Yet she does it everytime. I look at her, confused. She sighs, disappointed that I failed to understand her hand movements. I see her writing on a piece of paper, passing it on to the person next to her, making hand movements as if she is giving him clear instructions. It didn't take long before the piece of paper arrived at my desk, reading:
Meet me under the stairwell at break. It's an emergency!
I look at her and nod my head to assure her that I have received the message, and then get back to my drawings.

As soon as the bell rang,Natalie came running to my desk.
"I thought we were meeting under the stairwell?" I question her.
"No time for that. I have too much to tell you,and not enough time," she says as I pack my bag. "Come onnn, you're taking forever," she complains.
I silence her by giving her a cold, emotionless stare, then pack away the rest of my things. As I get up,she grabs my arm, yanks me out of my seat, mumbles 'finally' and drags me out of the class.
"What's so important?" I ask.
"You'll see," she says with a smirk on her face.
She takes me to the square,a place where all the senior kids go to have break. As I try to piece together what we're doing, she slams me down on the bench, and seats herself next to me. We sit there for a moment, and every time I try to ask her what we're doing, she violently shushes me. I stay quiet for a moment, then whisper "What are we doing?"
"Just give it a second," she says abruptly.
I sit back, crossing my arms. I study her closely, trying to understand what she is looking at. I am usually a very passive agressive person, but in this moment,I just want to smack her over the head and demand to know what is going on. Just as I was about to speak, she starts applauding enthusiastically, saying "Here he comes!"
As I try to comprehed what she means,my eye catches a glimpse of Andrew entering the square.
