*James POV*
I can't believe I was such an idiot. I should've talked to her before jumping to conclusions. She's been through so much already,and then I go and do this? In the words of Natalie, 'Well done,dumbass'!
I run to the car,trying to get the doors to unlock. It takes a while before they finally decide to open. "Yes!" I scream as I open the door. I swiftly get in,start the engine and drive off.
I arrive at Elle's house. I sprint to the front porch then knock on the door. I hear a voice behind me,"What are you doing here?" It's Andrew. He has a boquet of flowers in his hand. Lucky me. "Excuse me?" I ask as if I didn't hear him the first time. "I said: What are you doing here?" he repeats himself. "I could ask you the same thing?" I ask in a daring tone. He comes closer, "I think you should leave. You've caused her enough pain?I," "Look man,I was just leaving," I interrupt,to which I then turn around and start walking away. No way I am leaving.He rings the doorbell,and as he waits for the door to be answered,I quickly turn around,running to the side of the house. I jump over the side gate which leads to the backyard. I can hear Andrew chasing me. "ELLE!!!" I scream at the top of my lungs. Andrew tries to catch me,but I swiftly dodge him.
I then run through the back door,entering the house. I hear Andrew entering behind me,completely out of breath,"I?I told you?to?leave her alone." What a lame excuse of a guy. Elle's mom then appears in front of us,with an extremely confused look on her face,"What's all this racket? James,Andrew,what are you two doing here?" I step forward,"Hi Mrs J,is Elle home?" Before she could answer,Andrew starts yapping. "I told you to leave her alone!" he says,trying to act all tuff guy. "Sh,the grownups are talking now!" I say,pointing my finger at him. We start arguing,completely forgetting about Mrs J's presence,until she slams her hand on the table. "That is enough! You two are fighting like two,immature little boys!" she says in a strict voice. "Andrew,can I have a moment alone with James?" she asks,causing me to smirk at him. "Of course," he says glaring at me. He then makes his way to the living room.
"James," she says,looking at me with disappointment. "Yeah,I know?I messed up?" I say,looking at the ground,feeling ashamed. "Yes,you did," she says sternly,but then her voice softens,"so what are you going to do about it?"
