Dads drinking beer again. No big deal, right? Not at first. Until he had became addicted like never before. He started arguing with my mom a lot more. Threatened to file for divorce. That was hard within its self. No way it could get any worse.
He picked up the bottle. Liquor. One of the most addictive things in the world. It would sometimes start at nine in the morning and eventually got worse.
One night when dad was completely passed out on the floor, not able to recall my name or anyone else's, we loaded him up in the truck and took him to a rehab. He wasn't very thrilled when he woke up the next morning.
He stayed for maybe 10 days until he checked out. Came home being happy to see us, but mad at us for taking him. He didn't realize how worried we were that we might lose him. He talked to us and apologized. He promised us he would be done with liquor, but said he just couldn't let beer go.
