Another remarkable incident occurred again in my primary school although not the same grade, in grade 6 this time around, I had my ever first kiss with a girl. She wasn't in my grade but rather my neighbour, we lived in a three storey apartment, the middle floor was ours where I lived with my parents and my brother, a small family of four and she lived with her family on the top most floor, this family had 3 children, Favour, Faith and Isaac and as children we always played with eachother. On this fateful evening, we went upstairs to visit the neighbours, the fathers were not back yet, my mum and her mum had some gossiping to do and well we were kids, and this was the perfect time to fool around. The house upstairs like all the other houses in the apartment had three bedrooms, a sitting room and a kitchen. All five of us were playing by the staircase when Faith the middle child called me aside and somehow we started playing make belief where I had to pretend to be a thief who was chasing her, I chased her around until she went into what we used to call the 'middle room' because it was the room in between the other two rooms, the room wasn't big so I easily caught her, we ended up with her on the floor and I was on top of her, I thought the game had ended because I caught her
but she said I had to act like a thief and try to get the 'money' which was make belief out of her trousers, so I put my hand in her trousers and tried to get the 'money' out, a couple seconds later she said we should play the game again, but this time I needed to do it properly, hold her hands and try to get the 'money' out of her trousers. We started the second round, I chased her around the sitting room a couple times and then she ran into the middle room again, where I easily caught her once again, this time I pinned her to the floor using one of my hands to hold her hands above her head and the other one went to undoing her trousers button so I could get the 'money' out, Faith was older than me with a year or two and she has already started growing tiny hair there, it was a thrilling experience, she even helped me pull my trousers down a bit and we tried to know how another person's body feels and in the midst of it all we kissed, a short slobbery scary kiss because not even 3 seconds later my mum shouted my name from the sitting room and we scrambled out of the room with guilty looks on our faces. But my mum just wanted to know where we were since we were being too quiet, we didn't go into the middle room again, we went to the children's room and decided to play with the other kids, where we decided to play a modified version of the dog pile game, at the time we didn't even know the name, in this modified version Faith and I would cover ourselves with a blanket while others would jump on top of us one after the other, who ever gives up first loses, Faith and I were covered with the blanket so the other kids wouldn't see whatever kisses were shared underneath the blanket but just as the last person jumped on top of the pile, the impact caused Faith's teeth to knock into my own, and her already shaking tooth fell off, which marked the end of the game, I remember the tangy coppery taste of the blood but then the taste just seemed salty to me, and the fear that the tooth knocked out was a permanent one was scary. The night ended with her in tears and I was more scared that she would be toothless not even sparing a thought to the slobbery kisses that we shared.
