PART 3 - "Company Retreat Chaos"
It started with an email.
Subject: Q3 Team-Building Getaway!
Pack your swimsuits, business best, and team spirit - We're heading to the Lakeview Resort for three days of connection, communication, and collaboration!
I stared at the screen with my iced latte halfway to my lips, smirking.
Because if the company wanted connection... they were about to get way more than they bargained for.
Lakeview Resort sat on a bluff overlooking deep blue water, its cabins lined with wraparound porches and private jacuzzis. The air was crisp with summer heat, the kind that makes skin glisten and shirts stick in all the right places.
We arrived on Friday morning, and from the moment Devon stepped off the shuttle in his fitted joggers and black tank that clung to his biceps like they were sculpted by lust itself, it was over.
The girls were practically drooling.
Tiana, Jasmine, and now - Lisa from marketing - who somehow "accidentally" got a cabin two doors down from his.
"She's hunting," I murmured, dragging my red-tipped fingernail across the rim of my glass of rosé.
Devon glanced sideways at me, smirk tugging his lips.
"I only play when I've already won."
The first night was "mixer night."
Name tags, cocktails, fake laughter. I showed up in a soft gold wrap dress that hugged every curve like a prayer answered, my cleavage unapologetically present. Devon couldn't stop staring. He didn't try to.
Lisa floated over like a cheap perfume, full of bright giggles and bold touches. She laughed too hard at Devon's joke. Put her hand on his shoulder when she "lost balance" in heels that weren't even high.
I watched, sipping slow, unbothered - but inside?
The lioness in me was pacing.
Then came the campfire games. Truth or dare, of course. Adults pretending to be cute and playful, when really they just wanted an excuse to be messy.
Lisa leaned forward, eyes locked on Devon.
"Truth or dare?"
He raised a brow. "Dare."
She licked her lips. "Kiss the person you're most curious about..."
Gasps.
Some eyes flicked to me. Others flicked away, not brave enough to witness what was about to happen.
Devon stood, walked over to where I sat on a plush lounge chair. Without a word, he cupped my face, tilted my chin, and kissed me in front of everyone.
Slow. Deep. Delicious.
The kind of kiss that doesn't ask - it owns.
When he pulled back, I was breathless. My lip gloss gone. My dominance cemented.
"Curiosity satisfied," he said without breaking eye contact.
Tiana dropped her wine cooler.
Later that night...
The moonlit hot tub behind our cabin steamed, glowing with underwater lights.
I wore a black one-piece with slits up the sides, curves on display, the top barely containing my breasts. He couldn't keep his hands off me - underwater, overwater, it didn't matter. His mouth traveled down my neck, his hands kneading my thighs, his voice low and hoarse.
"They thought they were playing games. But I only want you."
I climbed into his lap, water rippling around us, my nails trailing up his chest.
"You better remind them then."
We made love in the hot tub, slow and wicked. The water sloshed, lights flickered, the sounds of skin and breath echoing in the quiet night. My moans were swallowed in his mouth as he bit down on my lip.
No one could hear us.
Except maybe they could.
Next morning...
The whispers spread faster than free Wi-Fi.
"I heard them."
"In the water??"
"Yo, he was gripping her like she was the last slice of heaven."
Even the VP, Mr. Henderson, gave us a look. Not disapproval. Amusement. Envy, maybe.
But Lisa? She was furious.
She stomped past me during breakfast, bumping my shoulder.
"You're not the only one who wants him."
I turned, slow. Calm.
"But I'm the only one he wants. Big difference, sweetie."
Devon wrapped his arm around my waist from behind, leaned in, and whispered against my ear:
"You ready for round two?"
