By the second weekend at the mansion, Olivia felt like she was living in two worlds - the one she knew, and the one Steve had opened for her.
His world was softer than she expected. Yes, it had power and luxury, but it also had tenderness. Steve didn't just give her access to his space. He gave her his time, his attention, and increasingly, his touch.
She wasn't just visiting anymore. She was learning.
It began in subtle ways - his hand at the curve of her lower back as they moved through the house. The way he pulled her onto his lap while he read reports on the patio, brushing his fingers along her thigh, just enough to make her breath catch. Or how, during dinner, his gaze would linger on her lips a moment too long, until she could hardly focus on her plate.
One night, after a long swim in the heated indoor pool, she emerged in a white robe, damp hair cascading over her shoulders. Steve was waiting in the bedroom, shirtless, a glass of wine in his hand, and an unreadable expression in his eyes.
"You look like a dream," he murmured.
She crossed the room slowly. "I feel like I'm still dreaming."
He set the glass down and reached for her hand, guiding her gently to sit beside him. Then, with a seriousness that sent a shiver down her spine, he said, "I want to show you things, Olivia. Things that will make you feel… powerful. Desired. Safe. If you trust me."
Her lips parted, but no words came. She only nodded.
He leaned in, kissed her slowly, then whispered, "Good."
What followed wasn't rushed or rough - it was intentional. Steve took his time, explaining with both words and touches. He guided her fingers to explore his skin and hers, encouraging her to ask questions, to listen to her body, to respond without shame.
He introduced her to positions she'd never imagined - not in a way that made her feel inexperienced, but in a way that made her feel awakened.
He spoke softly as he moved with her:
"Feel that?"
"Breathe with me."
"Look at me, Olivia… always look at me."
There were mirrors involved one night - not for vanity, but for visibility. She watched the way he adored her, how her body moved with his, and it made her feel something close to magic.
Another time, he blindfolded her with silk, removing her sight so she could feel more - and she did. Every touch, every whisper, every kiss became amplified in the dark.
But perhaps the most intimate moment was the one with no movement at all. After one particularly intense night, she lay sprawled across his chest, skin flushed and damp, as he traced lazy circles on her back.
"I don't want you to think this is just about sex," he said, voice husky. "You… you challenge something in me. You bring out parts of me I didn't even know I missed."
She smiled softly, eyes closed. "Like what?"
"Softness. Stillness. Wanting more."
Her fingers tightened on his side. Because she wanted more too.
Not just the pleasure - though that was addictive - but the man behind it. The one who saw her, who wanted to teach her, not to mold her, but to free her.
In his arms, Olivia felt like she was becoming something more - not just his lover, but his equal. And the way he looked at her now, with tenderness and fire…
She was starting to believe it was love.
