It was a dark, gloomy night when I walked into the crowded pub, my cloak soaked from the raging storm I had just emerged from. The fire that had happened in the village had been put out decades ago, but I had continued to weep what I had lost so long ago, as I wondered, searching for my dear Vespira. "I'll have the strongest ale ye have" I say as I paid "what's on ye mind t' have ye this bad" the tender says "Scripture ripped me love away from me arms but ye see, me lass meant no harm 'n they ripped her from me arms" I say. "Aye, a fate that happened to many." said the barkeep and got me my ale, and as time went on and society changed, so did I.
But, despite my inner change, I never grew old, and soon, I became known as the highwaywoman, and so, I just let the rumors run rampant. I all, even I knew not how it was possible to stay young for so long. Soon, however, I saw her. She was dressed in black satin and fishnets, she looked just as I remembered except she had dyed her hair black.
She even sounded just as I remembered as well, I was so ecstatic. My dear Vespira made her way back to me, was all I could think. I felt like crying as I approached her, gathering my courage to speak, "Is there something on my face?" I asked with a smirk as I steeled my nerves and put on some fake confidence.
