Chapter Forty-One: Aftermath

The battle ended in silence.

Seraphine stood in the center of the field, her chest rising and falling with each breath, her body exhausted but alive. The Wild Hunt had been driven back, their leader defeated. The bond between Seraphine, Azrael, and Kairos had proven stronger than anything the Wild Hunt could throw at them.

But the cost of the battle was heavy. The battlefield was littered with fallen enemies and allies alike. Seraphine glanced around, her eyes meeting Kairos and Azrael's as they moved toward her.

"We did it," Azrael said, his voice low, his eyes still dark with the aftermath of the fight.

Kairos nodded, his hand resting gently on her shoulder. "We did it. Together."

Seraphine closed her eyes for a moment, feeling the weight of their victory settle over her. They had won, but the fight had taken its toll. The Wild Hunt was gone, but the future remained uncertain.

"We'll rebuild," Seraphine said, her voice steady, filled with the strength of the bond that held them together. "And we'll face whatever comes next. Together."
