The morning was cool and quiet. Rain floated in a soft grey cloud, looking down at a high, rocky mountain. He had never been here before.
He drifted lower, touching the stones as a thin mist. The moss turned brighter green under his drops. Tiny plants lifted their heads. Somewhere above, a few patches of snow melted into small trickles that ran down the slopes.
A shepherd was standing on the hillside, watching his sheep. Rain fell gently on his shoulders. The man looked up, gave a small smile, and kept walking with his flock.
Rain stayed for a while, moving slowly over the rocks and trees. He saw how time worked differently here - nothing rushed, nothing forced.
When it was time to leave, Rain carried that feeling with him - a lesson from the mountain about being patient and letting things grow in their own time.
