"What's the price?" Sam asked Adrianna cautiously. Was he desperate? Of course he was! Just a few days ago he lost Caitlyn, the love of his life. The pain of that memory was still so painful that every time it crosses his mind he could feel a sharp pain in his chest. He was desperate.. but he was also a Bennet and was taught since birth that with Dark witches, there is always a catch.

He looked at the woman in front of him. He couldn't deny her beauty. The jet black hair that was flowing so smoothly at her back. The blue eyes that showed kindness and comfort despite who she was. Being a dark witch you'd probably expect that she was as black as her soul. But Adrianna was actually wearing white, a bridal white dress that reached her knees and some pink ballet flats. Her lips had a tint of shade, not too intense, just the right amount so that it contrasted with her pale skin a little. She wore no dark makeup. None of her features showed any semblance to what you imagine a dark witch to be. But her aura, her essence, is what gives her away. Just standing in front of her like this has chills running up his spine. He knew nothing of who she was, nothing of her powers, but he knew, as much as he could feel the power running through his veins, he knew that she could tap on immense amount of power. Nothing is beyond her reach. She follows no rules. And that's what makes her dangerous. She had no restraint and did not want to restrain herself, she has no compassion, no love, no humanity left in her anymore. The darkness has eaten it all, covered her heart with it. Her eyes though? he just could not get over her eyes. Goosebumps were starting in his arms but there is this sense of comfort in his heart, urging him to trust her. It just doesn't make sense.

Adrianna sighed. "Everything has a price, you're a Bennet, you know this." Her voice was comforting, empathetic. "With this much magic, we are defying the laws of nature, great magic is needed for me to be able to grant your wish." For a moment, he thought he saw something change in her eyes, a hunger that came and went in a blink of an eye. But when he looked again, her eyes, once again, showed compassion. "You would need to give up your magic," she stated calmly, again, empathetically. "In return, I will bring Caitlyn back to life and you can be with her. Even if she cannot recognize you and you are only with her as a pet, an animal, isn't that better than not having her in this world, not being with her at all?" She inquired touching on his sore spot, his pain, his main reason for summoning her. He was sure it was melodramatic, but to him, his world ended when he saw Caitlyn die. He couldn't think, couldn't breath as he felt her blood gushing out of the wound that the bullet has created. In a snap he unleashed all the power that he could muster and sent a fire ball towards the killer instantly killing him.

The sad part was, the killer was a mortal. Sent to kill him because he did not want to invest in a very shady, very unethical business with a very temperamental businessman. His anger and desperation consumed him. He knew that he was willing to pay any price as long as he could get Caitlyn back, to hell with the consequences. What more could be taken from him? The love of his life is gone, his family was forced to disown him because he used his magic to kill the bastard and he was also now being hunted by the keepers of Magic. So what's the point? He didn't want to be a dark witch but he also couldn't use his magic as that would bring the keepers of magic closer to him. What is there to lose really if he offers his magic up? He'll get Caitlyn back and be able to hide from the keepers of magic. It was a win-win situation really. "Do it," he heard himself say, "tell me what I need to do."

She snapped her fingers and a contract appeared in front of them. On her other hand appeared a ceremonial knife. "Blood shall seal the deal, I just need one drop and it shall happen as you wish." There it was again, the chills? he looked up at her and still saw nothing but compassion and innocence. He hesitated for a bit but then took the knife and pricked his finger letting the blood drop on the parchment.

In an instant, the contract disappeared and he saw on Adrianna's face the most terrifying smile he has ever seen in his life. Then a piercing pain coursed through him. It was a pain like nothing he has experienced before. It was more than the physical, it was like his soul was being split in two. He could not help but let out a scream as his magic was torn away from him. He collapsed and the next thing he knew he woke up to the feeling of furball in his throat and the sound of Caitlyn singing.. His wish was granted and so starts his imprisonment..
