Chapter
1
As he pulled into the driveway thankful the work day was complete, he was unable to concentrate all day and needed his mind to clear. He hoped a strong 7 & 7 and sitting down by the fireplace in his comfortable chair would get his mind off her.
While he lit the fireplace and waited for it to take, his mind still continued to travel, her hair long brown and soft to the touch, her eyes hunter green with specks of brown yet filled with passion and seduction, what that woman could do to his soul, "Oh man!" he caught himself saying out loud.
As he walked over to make his drink it only became worse. He tried to shake it off but she pulled at him to strong. With drink in hand and now the fireplace flickering he sat down on the edge of the chair, shoulder's hunched and rubbing his forehead as if this too would get her out of his memories.
With the first drink came a second then a third, he threw the glass into the fire, it was as if the more he drank to forget the more her skin, soft, tanned, and yet still burning on the tips of his fingers drove him to more thoughts, the sweet smell of her perfume lingering upon his clothes, he had to stop, but he couldn't, or was it just her, the answer to his own smoldering question he could not give, he just knew it felt right, more then he cared to imagine.
He set back in his chair and wondered just how much she must be in this heart and deep in his soul, and that scared the hell out of him more than her touch. But then again after what happened last night it should not surprise him. As the fire slowly licked the alcohol off the burning wood he watched transfixed in how it reminded him of the way she moved. Slow with his every touch, yet, hot with every push.
Giving up trying to not to think he let his mind wonder back in time....
