I run to Natalie's lifeless body,just lying there in the middle if the road. "Natalie,please get up!" I try to wake her,but she doesn't respond. I take out my phone,call 911,then try to call James. It just goes straight to voicemail. I leave a message,completely hysterical,"James,it's Natalie?please I need you,hurry!" I say crying.
"Lacey!" I hear Andrew scream. He then rushes to our side. "What the hell happened?!" he asks,just as hysterical as I am."I don't know! It doesn't matter! We need to get help!" my voice trembles. Andrew just stands there for a moment,watching the blood pool around Natalie,completely shocked. "Andrew,go,NOW," I command. He then quickly runs to get help,leaving me with Natalie.
"Natalie,please?stay with me?I can't go through life without my best friend?". The tears start rolling down my face. I cannot lose my best friend. I just can't.
My mom and Andrew comes running out,followed by a few of her friends. Soon,the ambulance also arrives.The paramedics surround Natalie. I take a step back,letting them do their job. They put her on the gurney,lift it up,and load her in the the ambulance. I try to go with them,but they refuse to let me in,saying 'family only'. "Please,she's my best friend!" I beg them. Andrew puts his hand on my shoulder, "Let them take care of her,Lacey."
He then embraces me,trying to calm me down. "We..we have to call her mom?" I realise. "Shh,don't worry about it,your mom's already on it," he says,stroking my hair. At first,I want to resist,but then I just give in,allowing myself to fall apart.
