I want to dedicate this poetry book to my mother, the late Minister Joyce Lawler, who advised me to place the following under each poem. Divine words inspired by the Holy Spirit written by Twana
She walks in grace, a steady light.
A vessel shaped by God's own hand,
Through valleys deep and mountains bright,
She holds the Word; she takes her stand.
Her voice, a balm to wounded souls,
Speaks truth in love, speaks peace in storm,
She points the weary toward their goal.
Where faith is fed and hope is warm.
She kneels in prayer before she speaks.
She seeks the Father's will and way.
Her strength is found when hers is weak.
Her courage is born of daily faith.
A minister, a mother, a friend,
A keeper of the sacred flame,
She serves her Savior to the end.
And lifts to Him all praise and fame.
So let her children rise and bless,
And let her works proclaim her worth,
For in her hands, God's tenderness
Touching the broken, healing the earth.
Scripture
Proverbs 31:28–30 (NKJV)
"Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 'Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all.' Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised."
