***After A Few Hours***
She had woken up, she stirred softly, her eyelids fluttering open. Vladimir leaned forward, his heart leaping.
"You're awake" He breathes, relief washing over him. Her gaze met his, confusion and pain warring in her eyes.
"What happened? Where I'm I?" She whispered, her voice hoarse.
"My father - " he said softly, he couldn't continue. "The guards brought you into the palace unconscious, forgive me for not being there to protect you", he pleaded, tears falling from his eyes.
"Maybe, just maybe your father is right and- and we're not meant to be" Vladimir's heart shattered at her words. "No. Don't say that" he pleaded, his voice desperate. "Please don't give up on us like this".
He took her hand gently, his thumb brushing over her knuckles. "I can't bear the thought of loosing you".
She wrapped her other hand around his hand "I don't want to loose you to- but I'm afraid of what the King might do to my father, he's the only family I have left and if anything happens to him, I wouldn't be able to look at myself in the mirror". Of course she loved her family aswell and she didn't want anything to happen to him because of her.
"Your right" he said softly, his mind racing, "God, your right" he withdrew his hand, his expression closing off. "Maybe this was a mistake, maybe we're not meant to be". He looked away, his jaw tight, his emotions almost taking over but he masks them.
"Please understand, Vlad". She didn't want to loose him but she also knew that the world would never let them be together on peace and sooner or later, their fun and happy moments would have to end after all, reality always had the habit of crashing into one's life in the time of joy and heart warming moment.
A few days later and she was finally off bed, moving about and doing more extra curricular activities. She was finally ready to travel. Vladimir saw her off personally, his heart warring in an emotional battle, he couldn't let her leave but he also knew better to keep her here.
He planned to fetch her and find her no matter what it takes when he finally becomes king so they can finally live together. It was a full proof plan.
He watched as the carriage carrying her disappeared from sight, he returned to the castle, his mind plagued with thought and questions as he was filled with so much unwanted emotions.
Day later, he acted normal, he lied to his father that he no longer loved her and had sent her out of the kingdom, he did that to gain his father's trust do that he would be able to inherit the throne as soon as possible and get Elara back to himself.
The king however felt doubtful but he didn't show it, he sent his son on tasks and journey but on this particular time. He sent his son to and official meeting with other kings and this was the first time Vladimir was going on such task, so he felt his father was finally warming up to him, unaware of the impending danger lying ahead, Vladimir left.
The King then sent words discreetly that Elara should be attacked wherever she was and brought back to Eldoria.
What was he going to do to her?
