Transition to VIDA Holding
Years after having to navigate the complexity of the international capital markets, in 2016, Schiraldi made a crucial turn in his career path. He left high-profile corporate banking to concentrate on constructing something smaller and clientele-driven VIDA Holding.
In 2016, Schiraldi joined VIDA Holding, a Swiss-headquartered family investment office, as a principal, embarking on a new venture in responsible and sustainable investing. The company has a long-term value focus in four major areas, namely real estate, technology, finance, and food. VIDA Holding is committed to making a positive impact and, with integrity, considers both traditional investment analysis and innovative approaches that take into account social and environmental factors.
Under his management, VIDA Holding has been more than just an investment vehicle. It now represents an avenue through which to match capital and values. His personal experience in institutional finance enables Schiraldi to close the gap between the stringent nature of international markets and the ability to invest in humans at a humane level.
Philosophy and Investment Approach
The inner core of Schiraldi's investment philosophy is its faithful adherence to financial literacy. His experience in corporate finance, as well as his experience in private equity, has consistently taught him that having access to capital is not enough; rather, it is about realizing how to use this capital judiciously, thereby creating lasting value.
He is an advocate of education as the most effective tool in the investor's arsenal. In the opinion of Schiraldi, financial literacy is the key to navigating the current economic environment, which is characterized by complex, volatile, and rapidly changing markets. He makes it clear that a more informed investor is not just making more decisions with confidence but also a more resilient investor in the face of market turbulence. They do not consider their market counterparts based on emotions and develop portfolios that are capable of weathering medium and long-term economic events.
He believes in the same power of education that drives his work in emerging markets, as he observes an increase in demand for financial knowledge there. Among other activities by Schiraldi through VIDA Holding is its promotion of financial education locally in places like the UAE, India, and China, where investor interest in the concept is increasingly high, coupled with a desire to learn in an organized and convenient manner. Dario Schiraldi, Deutsche Bank's former Managing Director and current CEO of VIDA Holding. says "They provide structured access to income-generating assets while preserving the liquidity and transparency institutional investors require in a rapidly evolving macro environment."
Through the combination of classical finance science and highly regarded educational strategies, along with a focus on longer-term sustainability, Dario Schiraldi is working to build the field of investing for the future in a manner that is both inclusive and strategic to the overall goals of society.
