In Ira's world...

As I entered Ira's room, I was tired and fell asleep.

"Ms.Song... Are you awake?" I could hear Cici calling me out.

"Ms. Song, Are you alright?" Cici asked.

"Yeah, why ?"

"you haven't changed your outfit before you slept and you look tired."

"It's ok. I just need some rest."

"Mr. Johnson asked me to remind you about the meeting at 11:30 AM today."

"Ok. So what's the time now?"

"10 o'clock"

"It's 10 AM already?"

"Ohk.. I will get ready in a while. Ask Ivan to get the files ready."

As I came down, I received a text from an unknown number.

"if you still don't give up, don't blame me for the consequences."

The message wasn't a normal one. But I couldn't understand it.

"Ivan, Did you find anything suspicious today?"

"No, Ms.Song.."

"Today the meeting is about?"

"There is a meeting with Mr.Watt for overseas expansion."

"In the office?"

"Yes, he would be reaching the company by 11 AM"

"Let's change it to his Hotel Lobby."

"Ms.Song?"

"Just change it."

"Ok. I will inform him of the change in plans."

At the Hotel...

"Hello, Ms.Song." Mr.Watt greeted.

"Hello, Mr.Watt. Sorry for the last-minute change in plans."

"No worries it's much easier for me. I can catch my flight in a rush."

"So, coming to your proposal, these are the clauses where we have a different view and I hope we can change it."

"Can you explain to me why?" Mr. Watt's assistant asked.

"Ms.Song, May I ?" Ivan stepped up.

"Sure."

Ivan started to explain the details.

At last, the meeting concluded in an hour.

As I was about to leave, I received a text from Pat "Call me ASAP."

As I called him...

"Ira,... Thank God you are ok..."

"What happened?"

"As I heard there was an accident near your office, I thought you might be in trouble. I called you several times. Later I confirmed with Ivan that you were in a meeting."

"Accident? From where did you get to hear this?"

"It's in the news..."

"Ooo.."

"I am glad that you are safe," Pat said.

"Where are you?"

"I am out of town, As soon as I landed here, I saw the news... will be back in two days."

"Ok. I will call you later."

As I cut the call... Ivan came to me after I had seen the client off.

"Ms.Song.. Mr. Wilson called to check .. would you like to give him a call?"

"I just spoke to him."

"Ok ..."

"Ivan.. Was there an accident near the office?"

"Yeah, Ms.Song. It so happened that our company vehicle was hit by a truck."

"Mmmm...."

"Luckily, none died. The driver was injured though."

"Is it serious?"

"Maybe yes..but not fatal."

"Police found out the reason?"

"They say it as the brakes where failed, the truck lost is control."

"I see..."

"Ms.Song..Shall we leave?"

"Is there any other meeting for the day?"

"No.."

"Let's have lunch here..."

"Sure, Ms.Song."

"Wait... the vehicle which was damaged ... "

"That's the usual car which you take. It was sent for servicing so we took the other one."

"mmmm .....Why was it at the office? "

"As per the initial communication, the driver was supposed to pick you up after your work. So he reached the office."

"I see.."

"Anything else, Ms. Song?"

" No.. ."

Just then Ivan's phone started to ring.

"Ms. Song, if there is nothing I will take this call."

"Go ahead."

As I took a sip of water, I started to think...

"The text I received in the morning. The accident... and Pat not being in the city.... can't be a coincidence.

But Pat looks worried... He likes Ira. So it doesn't look like he is behind it...

Is it Shirley?

If it is Shirley, I remember Pat telling me he had warned Shirley... Will she make a move so openly?

If it's for the Project. Will Henry take such a step?

Planning again and again ... "

I just thought to myself... "It's really difficult to be Ira."
