I was a warm Saturday afternoon I was sitting ina corner Cafe,a cozy spot where the smell of freshly brewed coffee blended perfectly with the scent of blooming Jacaranda tress outside.
I was working on a blog project as I sipped my double black coffee when my phone slipped off of the table. A tall man from the next table caught it mid air. Smooth. You've got good reflexes,I said with a smile.
"I'm Bob," he replied with a calm grin, "and you've got great taste in coffee and blog titles, I've been reading your work."
I blinked in surprise. "You read my blog?"
"Every Sunday. It's like a quiet conversation with someone who sees the world in full color."
We talked for hours that day about books, travel dreams, heartbreaks that hurt and healed, and the beauty of second chances. As the café lights dimmed and the city buzzed in the distance, Bob reached across the table and gently asked, "Would it be okay if this wasn't our last conversation?"
I smiled, heart warm. "I think this could be the start of something beautiful."
And it was.
Virginia blinked in surprise. "You read my blog?"
