After Zayn disappeared, Sarah sat frozen in her room. Her heart pounded, and her hands trembled as she touched the bite mark on her neck. It had stopped bleeding, but the pain lingered - and so did the fear.
She didn't know whether to tell her parents. Would they even believe her?
The next morning, Emma came to visit. They sat quietly in Sarah's room before Sarah finally spoke.
"Emma... something happened last night."
Emma looked concerned. "What do you mean?"
Sarah told her everything - the dream, the boy, the bite. Emma's eyes widened in shock.
"That's... insane," she whispered. "Are you sure it wasn't just a nightmare?"
Sarah pulled back her collar to show Emma the mark. But it was gone.
Emma frowned. "There's nothing there, Sarah. You're just scared because of that room. It's okay."
Sarah was confused. She knew what she felt. But she stayed silent. No one would believe her.
After Emma left, Sarah went to take a shower. The warm water calmed her nerves, but she couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching her.
She stepped out, wrapped in a towel, and walked into her room.
"Aww... look what I found," a voice said.
Sarah spun around. "You - how are you here? Please, leave me alone!"
Zayn stood in the shadows, eyes glowing faintly. "Don't be scared. I just want a little fun... and I'm hungry."
Sarah backed away, but Zayn raised his hand - and she froze in place, unable to move.
He stepped forward and bit her neck again, more forcefully this time. Sarah cried out, struggling against his grip. Her vision blurred as the pain overwhelmed her.
Then, just as suddenly, he stopped.
He looked at her, eyes softer for a moment, and whispered, "You're mine now."
He kissed her, then vanished into the shadows.
Sarah collapsed to the floor, unconscious.
