The Haunting at Midnight: A Mysterious Office Encounter
Rohan worked in a multinational company with an unusual shift schedule - 15 days of day shifts and 25 days of night shifts. He was used to working late, but one night changed everything.
It was 11:55 PM, and he was alone in the office. The silence was eerie when suddenly, a knock on the door broke it. He opened the door - no one was there.
Brushing it off, he returned to his desk, but moments later, another knock, louder this time. He rushed to the door - again, nothing. A chilling whisper floated in the air:
"Rohan..."
His skin crawled. His office was on the 12th floor, accessible only with security clearance. Who could be knocking?
He locked the door and sat down, trying to focus, but then, his screen flickered. One by one, his files started deleting. A new file appeared - "HELP_ME.txt."
With trembling hands, he opened it.
"I AM STILL HERE."
A memory surfaced - five years ago, an employee named Priya had mysteriously vanished. Some whispered that her ghost still haunted the office.
The lights flickered violently. The door creaked open on its own. And then, he saw her.
A pale woman in office attire stood in the doorway, her hollow eyes filled with sorrow. She pointed to his laptop.
The words on the screen changed: "FIND MY FILE."
Digging through company records, he found a hidden document - Priya had been murdered by a senior executive, her last log stating:
"Someone is following me… If something happens, my evidence is in the finance folder."
Rohan reported his findings, leading to the culprit's arrest.
After that night, the office felt calmer. The knocks stopped. The whispers faded.
One night, he glimpsed her reflection in the glass window - smiling before vanishing into the darkness.
The haunting was over.
