''ah-AH…'' I groaned and winced as I try to sit up but it was the worst and bad idea, my body could not handle the pain. I was woken up by the cool night, I remember everything happened but I do not remember ending up at my home compound, maybe Kane was trying to help me. Stupid Kane forgot to give me something to cover myself with and the pain stinging more in this cool night, I sat there as I thought what I would do, than I thought of slowly moving away from the mat, which took me forever, as I reached for my mat and I slowly folded it.
Before I could finish with torture of folding the mat, a hand appeared out of nowhere, when I looked up after a struggle, I was surprised to see my mom here,
'' here……to finish……me up?'' I asked….
She said nothing but pulled the mat away from me, which hurts my bruised arms,
Then she slowly kneeled in front me, I could never decipher her emotions,
''we far from the end and it is the beginning,'' that is all she said than she walked away.
Just when I thought she would leave me outside unattended, she came back, no remorse or whatever as she picks up my bruised body, she helped me lie down in the shelter and she used the animal skin to warm me up. I wasted no time as I fell back to my slumber.

The next morning, I was woken up by my hunger state, it was morning and my mom was not here, I slowly removed the animal skin that blanketed me. My body was painful but I am hungry so I had to make it outside where mama hides the burnt meat. Just when I made it out of the shelter, I see mama talking to Kane, I could not hear what they said all I cared about was to eat meat. Luckily it was not far, but clearly it was not for me, mama was eating it now in the morning, I do not think I could make it far, so instead I laid down by the entry as I ate the meat of my mother as fast as I can before she beats me to death. I watched them while I chewed and ate. By the time she turned to face me, she was surprised to see me up or that I ate her meat. Well, I am not sure.
'' Kane, get her dipped in the water,'' I swallowed a lump in my throat when she said that.
I could imagine how hurtful can it be.
'' I need to go hunting, once she is rinsed, back to training,'' my heartless mama said. I was not even surprised.
'' But my queen, she is not in a good shape'' Kane spoke on my behalf.
''Well; that is not what Patina is saying,'' true I never said it because it would be hell to go against her again. I will make her listen to me no matter what, she has too. I am her child and when father comes back, I will tell him. We watched her leave assuming she will be hunting.
''Well, you hear what the queen said,'' he shrugged his shoulders as he came to me,
I shook my head, '' No! not you too.'' I said in exasperation.
'' I love you as my friend but no way, I get to be two times worse than what you went through, and I doubt you would want that for me.'' He said and he was really scared of my mother. Everyone was, what makes her different, maybe it is the name that gives her this power and authority and I hate it because it is affecting me in the process.
I finally gave in, so he helped me up and soon we ended up to the river again, in quick reflexes, I was dipped in the water, my whole body, only my face was out on the surface, I screamed so much, it felt so painful like yesterday,
''sorry,'' he winced…
'' I--I will kill you Kane, I swear I will.'' I threatened between my cries as the water washed my dry blood and wounds all together.
He said nothing as he looked at me with a pained expression but soon, I was getting use to the pain, my right arm was held by Kane as the rest of the body was under water,
He finally pulled me out, I was able to stand, but the pain was there,
''I do not know what is worse to deal with, is it you or your mom?'' he said shaking his head.
'' You know you cannot keep fighting the queen, by now you saw that our parents are no match for us, let us just train and make sure we beat these people who made you like this and your mother will leave you alone once you do what she wants.'' Kane explained as we slowly walked towards my shelter.
''Fine, help me get this on than,'' I said as throw my tiger animal cover to him, I took my other black animal skin of jaguar off, ''Do not waste time, come over,'' I beckoned him as he stood there and watched my exposed temple.
Finally, he gave in and helped me to get dressed.
''Why does your body, makes me still but my mother's temple never made me still''
I shrugged my shoulders, ''you asking the wrong person but I hope you not evil possessed, you find those in stories that the elders tell when we gathered around the fire.''
'' Do you even know how evil possessed beings are like or you will believe all the unreal things they tell us just to keep us happy and smiling? Done.'' He said as he lets go of the knot.
''whatever, it works anyway, let us go. -I will try to train today because you had quick reflexes, because I want to let those who whipped me pay, even Axa for that matter. As for mom, it's the only way to beat her until she lets me make my own choices.
