Patina's Point of View:
Boredom and eating my own brain are all I had been doing, the rest was good, hunger was also doing a number on me and to top it up is Vox always crossing my mind. I needed answers and I needed hem fast. My mother's silhouette blocked the day light from striking in since she was coming inside. I had nothing to say to her and it is official we will never be on the same page, it's like we different and I would be lying if I said I doesn't hurt sometimes. It does.
Before I could comprehend, my mom pounced on me and my back ended up kissing the ground. As if bad luck was hovering over me, one punch to my first cheek, second one to the other cheek, third one on the other cheek, I couldn't take it anymore so, I blocked my arms, as tears silently came out.
When I looked at my mom, her eyes did not kill me but you could swear if there was anything more brutal than kill, I would be experiencing it by now. What did I do wrong now? apparently my arms could be strong enough to shield my face as she tries in her might to remove them,
Just when I thought I could hold it longer, she literally punched my side chest, I heart the most brutal pain ever, like ribs had cracked, my arms involuntarily held the side I got the punch, she said nothing, only anger, that was out of control, I whimpered, this woman is sure going to kill me if I do not get out under her,
I tried to push her off of me, but no she held me to the ground, then she punched my face again, I could salty in my mouth and I knew I was bleeding, this is it she will kill me, another punch again, I bet my face looks horrible, then she strangled me, I struggled to breath as I kick my feet up on the air. I tried to call out to her but nothing came out of my mouth, my breath was blocked and it was painful, tears just came out even more, this is the most painful thing my mother could do to me and now I was ready to die.
Shockingly she let's go of me, I breathing in so much my head hurts, I panted after and coughed, she stood up from me, the left side of my chest burns, that could help but to groan and scream a bit. I did not bother to look at her, I crawled off from my mat in aim to get out, but I received a kick in my stomach, as I begged her to stop before I knew it, her heel charged for my face, with a pain that sent me to blackout.
Kane's Point of View:
I had been searching and asking around about Rebecca but no one knows where she is, this was frustrating, I had won in training but with a lot of bruises but it was worth it. Tomorrow I will be taken to the next stage and I hope by than I will find her, or this other guy, since he was the one asking for her. I hope nothing has happened to her.
After training while walking around the village I finally thought of talking to the queen. I arrived in a sun set time, I was expecting to be outside but she was in her shelter, I called for her out and she came after I hailed. I bowed.''my queen, I have a problem,'' I began, she said no words, instead she nodded her head, I guess she is telling me to continue, I clead my through and I continued, ''my queen, there is a girl missing in our village it will be the third day now missing, I think something is wrong,'' I said avoiding to look at her,
''I see, who is she?'' she asked clearing her throat, ''Rebecca, my queen.'' I answered.
''very well than, tell her parents to come and see me now, or just bring them tomorrow I have a circle meeting to go to for now.'' The queen answered flatly. ''yes, my queen.'' I bowed my head before walking out of the yard. It was strange not to talk to Patina at all. After all she wanted this. All I have to do is find my love.
Patella's Point of View:
I walked with few warriors to the circle, as I am walking, I feel like a failure, guilt and misery over powering me. I raced this kid well, but you could never say, if I tell the truth, the reputation and honour for Erix will diminish and insulted. As for me, I would be banned from staying in this village. The victim my daughter murdered has changed everything, everyone is worried about the girl now, it has circled around the village even the warriors I am walking with are talking about the possibilities if what could have happened to her and knowing the truth, the topic was sickening.
I had endured all that until I reached to the circles where all the elders were present, once again I was late.
After I took my seat,
''we have a problem of a missing kid in this village, it is time for everyone to stand up and look,'' I informed.
''what is wrong with this village? My queen I am worried about our safety, could this have to do with rain acid, is this missing kid, part of what is mysteriously occurred in our village.'' One if the elders spoke, I groaned in frustration'
''all you ever do is ask questions in this circle, what have you done? Nothing! I asked all of you to find Vox but you did not, here you are thinking I would do this alone, in fact If you that worried, you elders stand up as well, you think by making me looking weak to lead will save you? It will not! Instead, you will die with me and everyone else in the village. For the last time find Vox and let out a search party everywhere and every house, right up to the forbidden area, find Vox and Rebecca. Because if you do not, then I will start replacing the elders maybe the title is too heavy or it has worn you down.'' I said than I stood up.
If looks could kill I would be dead by now, I was getting fed up, problems are arising but no one has a solution I am also trying my best, once my child recovers from my knock out, I have to see what id, sooner or later they going to find out, she is as good as dead by now, and I do not think I can save her but himself. What happened to Vox, he was not scarce when Erix was around.
Patina's Point of View:
I opened my eyes, it was dark, but the silhouette of fire burning outside was visible on the ground. My stomach grumbled in hunger. ''you, young lady is going to talk and tell me everything'' my mom said as she entered the shelter, this time with a stick. 'Oh why did I not die' I thought to myself as mama came to me.
