Lucas was a boy who was interested in studying but his family was poor and he couldn't afford to go to a good school, but he never complained to her parents about going to a poor school but rather thankful about his life. He was an understanding boy at such a young age, but his father will always come home drunk and beat up Lucas mother which made him sad but he couldn't do anything about it. He wanted to end up in a good college to get a better job in the future,There comes a life changing point in Lucas life. The top colleges in the city of Arena held a singing competition across the poor school and the winner will get a chance to join the college after their senior final exam.
The great advantage was that Lucas was a great singer. When he saw the poster he felt really happy thinking luck is by his side after all this long years of struggle. He started to study hard because a good mark with a winner will be the one getting the chance.The competition was around a week and the exam for the final senior year was within 2 months.ONE day after school while going back home, he was really tired since he was stressing a lot for the past few days, the singing competition was after 2 days. He was really nervous and wasn't sure if he will actually win, there were lot of other students who were really good in singing he started to doubt himself though he sings well enough.Lucas Mother saw that he is being more serious in his studies and have been working hard since past few days, she felt a slight of pain thinking if only he could join a good college not knowing that Lucas has been secretly preparing for this moment. She prepared a great Dinner meal for Lucas.He was happy seeing her mom taking good care of her. Despite having family problems and the one struggling more, he had his meal and went back for vocal practice and continuing his studies
The next day came and during the 2nd period the teacher said he is going to conduct a surprise test, the students was really not ready as they mostly score the lowest in mathematics.
