But I don't know much about land creatures, so it's probably what everyone out there looks like. For a moment I thought that my hour had come, and that this predator would devour me, so I closed my eyes and waited, but suddenly I found myself in the water again, and I was overwhelmed with a feeling of happiness for a moment before I discovered that I was no longer able to swim, my front flippers had disappeared. I began to gradually descend to the depths after all my attempts to swim with my tail had failed.

The fish that usually run away from me began to gather around me, curious to know what had happened to me, and why I no longer pursued them. At first it was annoying, I was busy processing the mixed feelings running through my mind, like fear, shame, and anger, and as I settled at the bottom and alone, contemplating the darkness of the vast ocean, unable to move, I realised that I didn't want to die alone, but it was too late, as everyone around me left after losing their interest in what happened to me. Hours passed with blood dripping from two wounds on my side, my strength began to fade, and life began to leave me at last, with one question on my mind, why did that creature only take my fin?
