As soon as the "Great War" ended, the clouds of envy, depression, and arrogance faded. Everyone was celebrating the "peace," but in reality, war had struck those who lost their families, homes, and especially their hope - the hope of living.

In this tumultuous time, there was a boy named Alex. His father had been the commander of the 18th Battalion on the Eastern Front, instilling in Alex a deep sense of duty and pride in serving the motherland. He often spoke of the feeling of honor that came with serving, painting a picture of how civilians viewed soldiers. His father had always envisioned Alex following in his footsteps, but the boy had never given it much thought.

When his father returned home, it was not as a hero but in a coffin, draped in the nation's flag. The sight shattered Alex's world. As he leaned over the coffin, grief washed over him, but amidst the sorrow, a fire ignited within his soul. "I will make you proud, Dad," he whispered, determination lacing his voice.

In a blink, Alex found himself in the army, driven by a newfound purpose. He trained hard, fueled by the memory of his father, and quickly rose through the ranks, eventually becoming the Chief General of all Battalions.

But on a dark Easter day, a new war emerged, shattering the fragile peace. Who could have imagined that another conflict would arise so soon? Would history remember this as "WORLD WAR 2"? The thought sent chills down Alex's spine as he prepared to face the horrors of battle once more.

Alex and his team were ordered to serve on the Eastern Front, where Hitler's surprise attacks were a major tactic. Alex was ready to make his father proud.

The battle began, and chaos erupted. For hours, Alex fought tirelessly, taking two shots in the back but refusing to fall. In his mind, he felt his father's presence guiding him through the turmoil. The sounds of gunfire and explosions filled the air, drowning out everything else.

Then, suddenly, the gunfire stopped, and silence enveloped the battlefield. Alex's teammates began to celebrate, noting that their supplies were all used up. But a nagging feeling crept into Alex's mind - something was not right. He turned and looked into the bushes, where he spotted a tank lying in wait, poised to strike.

Before he could react, the tank fired, and the shell landed near the group, sending them flying apart. Moments later, Alex opened his eyes to a scene of devastation. His comrades were in no condition to fight back.

With a surge of determination, Alex slid his hand into his pocket and pulled out the last grenade he had. He stood up, adrenaline coursing through his veins, and ran toward the tank. Each step felt like a battle against gravity, but he pushed forward, fueled by the memory of his father and the desire to protect his comrades.

Bullets from the minigun pierced through his body, but he pressed on until he was nearly touching the tank's front. As he prepared to release the pin, a voice echoed in his mind, "I am proud of you, son."

With that thought, he released the pin.

BOOM!

Alex, a true patriot, sacrificed himself while serving the nation, just like his father did. In the end, he achieved what he always wished for - honor and pride in his father's legacy.
