The night was dark and cold as Maggie and Jane stumbled their way back home from the party. They had both had a little too much to drink and their laughter echoed in the empty streets. As they rounded a corner, a strange glow caught their attention.

Curiosity getting the best of them, Maggie and Jane stumbled towards the source of the light. What they found was a small, glowing orb lying on the ground. It pulsed and shimmered in the darkness, casting an eerie light over the girls.

Maggie reached out to touch it, but Jane grabbed her arm, a look of fear in her eyes. "Don't touch it, Maggie. It's not right," she whispered.

But Maggie, drunk and emboldened by the alcohol, ignored her friend's warning and picked up the orb. As soon as she touched it, a chill ran down her spine, and a sense of dread washed over her.

Suddenly, a low, guttural growl filled the air, and the girls turned to see a figure standing in the shadows. It was tall and slender, with glowing red eyes that bore into their souls. Maggie dropped the orb in terror, but it was too late.

The figure lunged towards them, its long, sharp claws reaching out to grab them. Maggie and Jane screamed as they turned and ran, their hearts pounding in fear.

They ran through the empty streets, the figure hot on their heels. Its growls grew louder and closer with each passing second, and the girls knew they were running out of time.

Just as they thought they couldn't run any further, they stumbled upon a small alleyway and ducked inside, hoping to hide from their pursuer. But as they turned the corner, they came face to face with the figure, its glowing red eyes locking onto theirs.

And then, everything went black. The last thing they heard was the sound of their screams echoing in the night as the figure closed in on them, ready to claim their souls for eternity.
