There was once a time when Angels would visit the earth and watch over God's people at night.The Angels were assigned various Towns and Cities or Villages to help people in need of safety. The Angels usually do so at night less they were seen by mere mortals during the day time.

On one such night, Angel John was on his regular duty and after one round he used to rest on the roofs of people's house before making his last watch.That night John rested on the roof of the White's family. The White's family was a small happy family of three including Mr and Mrs White and their seven year old son named Micheal.

On that night Micheal was not feeling sleepy as he was anxious that night because of his school race that he was having tomorrow. He had also visited the Doctor earlier when he came back from school as he was having an upset stomach.

That was also the reason why he couldn't sleep.

As Micheal was anxious in thoughts he notice the sudden bright light shining over his roof from the hole he had on his roof.

Micheal was surprised to see it at first and he wanted to investigated it. Michael open the door of his house and went outside doing so quietly less he wakes up his parents. There was a small tree near his house that used to help him climb his roof.So he got up and that tree and after further climbing and was on top, he couldn't believe what his eyes had seen that night. He saw the Angel John resting and before he could hide himslef John also got a glimpse of him.John was also shocked as he usually dont get visitors during his assignments. John softly asked Micheal to come forward and to not be afraid. Micheal without hesitation came forward and asked the Angel one question. Were you sent by God for me ? Surprised John had nothing to say but yes, and as he says this, Micheal grew with excitement and happiness. John notice that Micheal was feeling sick, so John asked whether Micheal was alright. Micheal said yes he was even though he was having a funny tummy.

John comforted Micheal and said that its gonna be okay, God is always with you boy .

That insurance gave Micheal a big smile, and he thanked the Angel. John asked Micheal why he wasn't alseep at this hour and Micheal reply that he was thinking about his big race tomorrow and how badly he wanted to win it because it was gonna be his last year in that school as he was gonna be shifted to the nearby City School.

John smiled at Micheal and ensure him that he was gonna be there tomrw for his race and also help him win. Micheal was not a fast runner and he usually take breaks after running his laps.

John requested Micheal to go to sleep and rest so he could be fully rested before his race.

And John helped Micheal get down and then flew away and waved at Micheal saying goodbye. Micheal was a little anxious after having that conversation with John and he happily went back to sleep.

The next morning, Micheal was prepared and he was so sure to win even though of his limitations.

When it was noon and the race was about to start, Micheal looked around in the crowd to see if his new friend John had come or not. But the Angel was not seen anywhere. Micheal got nervous but he was not losing hope.

Micheal got number three on his race as just as the race was about to start, he heard someone yelling from the crowd, "do your best Michael". And of course it was his new friend John, disguised in human form. Micheal could recognise him because of his voice.
